This happened to me more than once… then I started checking the receipt carefully before leaving store, and when I showed it to the cashier got back the difference in cash. Those machines are wonky dunno y. Someone in a previous discussion suggested buying only the offer item to avoid this scenario.

Walgreens is horrible with the coupons Noah at walgreens gives horrible service I cliped coupon and printed coupon and did not work I was in line for 20 min
Oh, bummer! I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. You may try speaking to a manager and taking the coupon policy with you next time.
Stand your ground with Walgreen’s. Make them honor what they allow you to load to the card. It’s a matter of principle for me. I let the cashier know ahead of time what I expect to happen and what I expect to be fixed also. I go to the cosmetic counter usually to help with this.
Does the lindor coupon beep at Target?
Yes, it beeped at Target. They checked it and saw that it was the correct item & size and accepted the coupon.

My CVS didn’t have Colgate on sale but I with the $2.50 & .50 cent coupons I was able to snag a tube for .54 cents!
Kroger mega event has the $2 Colgate digital coupon making it free also in case you don’t make it to CVS. I borrow all my family members card because they won’t coupon so I picked up a bunch.
Lucky you! My Kroger had these for $2.99 Mega sale price, so I passed.
At Target last night I had two Rimmel products; an eyeliner thing on sale for 1.98 and mascara at 5.99. Newish cashier rang c/o and it took off the lower priced item. I said it should deduct the mascara and she said it always takes off the lower price. Didn’t bother arguing with her so she puts the light on and floor mgr comes by, barely looks at the coupon and said the same thing. Grr..off I go to customer service and I nicely showed her the wording on the coupon. Free mascara with any eye product purchase or whatever it said. She said that doesn’t matter, you can’t get the mascara free because it cost more. For a split second there was that doubt in my mind if I’m reading it wrong. I decided I wasn’t. After a few minutes of wasting more time with the uneducated CSR, I decided to call corporate. By now, it was the principle of it. After about 10 mins on the phone, I was assured the employees would be talked to about their rude manner and educated about this coupon and coupons, in general. It should be interesting to see if there are any changes.

When using the word uneducated, we’re usually trying to find a nice way to call people dumb. It’s one of those words that can’t really be used in a nice way. The problem is that it’s not too nice. And it’s, well, an uneducated thing to say. Imagine if your car is broke down on the side of the road. The guys that come to help you probably don’t carry any initials after their name. But standing their stranded with all the initials after my name, guess who’s the uneducated one is at that moment? Sorry for the rant, just a pet peeve of mine.
And you are assuming that someone who works on your vehicle is uneducated? That is stereotyping. YorkieMom did not say that the Target employees were uneducated. She said ” I was assured the employees would be talked to about their rude manner and educated about this coupon and coupons.” Apparently, someone in home office thought that training in this situation would be apppropriate. Sadly, some people have subpar reading for comprehension skills.

The coupon will actually adj down to $0.99
Couponing is great. However do not come to blame cashiers for a coupon issue. Naming the person is totally unfair. I’m a cashier. We see all types of people who do not have the correct item or amount and aren’t able to use the coupon through no fault of our own. We also have a limit to what can be used. That’s our store policy. We don’t have you cash back for a negative balance.
I never could get the pop tart coupon to print and now it tells me limit reached . So frustrated !!!
