You are welcome, Kaylee!
These bikes are total crap. You’ll be spending more money on repairs than they’re worth.
I totally disagree. A lot of people Just want a bike for casual use. I maybe ride bike 4 times per year & have NEVER gotten my bike repaired. I just bought my son a 24″ Mongoose bike at target on this sale. It was only $45 and I bet it will be just fine until he outgrows it.
If you really want a quality bicycle visit your local bike shop. They’ll properly fit you to the type of bike for the riding style your pursuing.
They are all made in Pacific rim countries out of recycled American steel which is not very strong after it has been melted down so many times. I ran a small bike shop and I got weary of fixing this type of “bicycle”. Don’t be lured into buying a 28 ” it is an odd size built to faze out the 26″ models. The fact is that 26″ replacement wheels are stronger and easier to find used making your repair cost a little easier to bear. The Walmart bikes are poorly assembled junk made to break after 65 miles. The fasteners on the bike are so inferior they bend or break or at minimum deform so you can’t even put a tool on them to remove them when necessary. Also when parts are necessary the typical Walmart buyer is to cheap to pay for a part, because the buyer in question only cared about price and doesn’t really ride at all other than a few times a year. If you a fixated on cheap that is exactly what you will end up with. Walmart and such retailers are soulkillers and corruptors. Schwinn is a hair better in it’s frame quality but to make it a good ride you will have to do a lot of work to replace many of it’s components. Don’t let that big box store drive your local bike shop out of business, because that guy that lives to help you keep riding is far more valuable than a quick sale and a disappearing receipt that will disintegrate before 90 days go by. A good bike is made to ride everyday for years. A good bicycle Rider is part of a community of people who care about quality and safety and the integrity of their machines and the joy of riding them. Invest in something you can be really happy with. You are worth that much!
Thank You! Just bought my first bike. Don’t even know how to ride one but I’m doing new things this year
Maybe I will find a bicycle when we have $ 1st & 3rd again
