Is this shape warmer than a rectangle? I worry about having less foot space, the way I sleep.
Looks like a coffin
HAHAHA… just said that and then read your post…
I just bought the same sleeping bag last week from Walmart.com for $43! I think I will buy it from Amazon and return it at Walmart store.
I bought it for my son to go scouts winter camping. Most of the below zero sleeping bag shapes like this and it’s definitely warmer than the regular rectangle size. It’s plenty of leg room but just not wide and comfortable like the rectangle one.
So final conclusion, if you just need a regular sleeping bag then get the rectangle one but if you need it for freezing cold weather, I will recommend this!
Thanks for the recommendation!! Good to know it is great for colder weather!
I wonder if it would be better to get a child’s sleeping bag for my 4 foot 10 daughter than the adult
We purchased four of these sleeping bags. We live in Montana so camping can still be cold still in May and June. I can’t attest to how well it worked at 0 degrees but we have camped when the low temperature reached 20 degrees. Noone complained about being to cold. I would say that these keep you warmer than the rectangular ones. Also, we purchased these for our children in the adult size instead of the children’s size (7 and 9) and I have no complaints.
Brrrrr! So happy to hear you stayed warm in your mummy sleeping bags, Tara! Thanks for the feedback!

I bought myself a mummy bag for Cub Scout camping a little over a year and and have gotten myself a replacement rectangular bag. I hate the mummy because it is just not comfortable for me to sleep without having a leg hiked up. The mummy shape overall is slightly warmer but that’s only a consideration if you can actually fall asleep with your legs fairly together and need to be that warm.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with these mummy bags, Traci!
