I don’t know what kind of dollar trees you guys have around, but we don’t have near as awesome stuff in the ones close to me. I will say that I am very lucky to have one within walking distance of my house though!

    • Lori

I usually can’t find the great items in my dollar tree…it’s not just you.

    • Diana

Mine never had the good items either.

    • Erin

Ditto. It’s hard to get excited about Dollar Tree when most of the items they have are pretty much a dollar–or less!–everywhere anyway. The few items that are truly a good deal are never in the stores in my area–and I’ve been stopping in multiple stores weekly to try to figure out if there’s some sort of strategy for shopping there. My stores have the weird off-brand stuff; most of the name-brand stuff is in smaller packages than what you’d find in a grocery store.

      • Marva Graves

It probably depends on your state or district on what each store gets.
You never know who Corperate does things.
Im in the Midwest and ours handles a lot of name brand items but Im nearba university too.
        Demographics?
        Who knows?

You are exactly right! My husband is a Dollar Tree Store Manager and my Father is a Vice-President at DT. Stores receive freight trucks once a week. Some items DT buys in such bulk, those items can be found at most all stores. But, sometimes they only receive a certain amount of one product. The vendor caps the amount DT can buy, so not all stores get the item. However, if you want an item that your store doesn’t have, go to the Store Manager. He/She can see if they can locate it and have it sent to your store. You can also see if it’s available on DT’s website and you can purchase it online. Just some thoughts. Moving forward, PLEASE don’t hesitate to ask the Store Manager any questions or discuss any concerns you have. That’s what they are there for…it’s their job! If a Manager can locate another DT Store that has the item available, they can have them ship it to your store. Always go to the Store Manager with anything you have questions about…if it can be found or done, they will do it for their customers. They truly WANT you to leave happy!
          Hope that helps!

            Hi Carrie,
Our brand new Dollar Tree did not take my coupon for paper towels. Said most coupons won’t work there. WHY? it was the correct item. Thanks
            COnnie

            • Kymberly

Really, you need a coupon for the dollar store!

            • Jenn

I haven’t seen any policies stating they quit taking coupons….i would ask the store manager their policy on coupons

yes Kymberly…really!! why not??? free is free!! some people need every dollar they can save….

    • Mari

I live in ohio and have to drive everywhere (30 minutes to stores in any direction) , so I pass different ones from time to time. What Ive noticed around here, the richer the neighborhood the better the store…. and newer the store, I just visited a new one and it had the Jillian Michaels dvds…..

    • Rachel

      Try and buy online

  2. Heather

Our dollar tree had Jillian workout videos and yoga too 🧘‍♀️ 🙀

  3. Beth

Where was the love is patient sign located? With all the valentines decor? Or in the regular household decor?

    • Stacy

I found that one and quite a few others with all the frames.

  4. Mary Ann

    great finds!

  5. Gretch

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome!

  6. Amanda

Our DT had those Cape Cod chips last week, and I stocked up on a few bags. They’re really good (we got the BBQ ones) and cheaper than walmart chips of the same size. I hope they keep carrying them!

  7. T

My dollar tree has most of the items listed. The Hunts organic diced tomatoes are . 50 a can at my d.t.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Nice!

  8. M

My DT has all of these items, as well. I grabbed the Dove cream. Thick and moisturizing!

    • Lunafalls

It would be so helpful if the shoppers who do find the “good stuff” would post what state they’re located in.

  9. Jessica

    Love these posts, please continue!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks for the feedback, Jessica!

  10. Michele

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

  12. JA

My store has most of these things. Those Marie Calendar blueberry muffins were terrible though. Betty crocker is much better

  13. LS

My DT had all these products and the Jillian Michael dvds. Mine also had bottles of Disney Donald Duck orange juice. I have bought the Dove handcream there. It’s great.

  14. Brandy

My DT is in a college town so we usually have most of these items-it’s super fun to go and see what’s new each week!!

  15. Connie B

I’ve been re-making their vinyl totes into garden flags. I love that Life is Sweet one!

    • sunshinekv27

They have to cutest bath bomb’s at mine in FL. I bought a mermaid shaped one and a unicorn 🦄 one. Plus they have sunscreen that was all natural. Can’t remember the name brand.

  18. Crystal

I got pedia care brand fever reducer and cough syrups last week in NE. They don’t expire until November!! They also had Boo Berry cereal and paperback reader books which were perfect for my kindergartener.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sweet! Sounds like a great shopping trip! Thanks for sharing your finds Crystal!

    • Ct526

I live in the farmingville area. The new store in farmingville is always fully stocked for the most part. Ive never seen these things that are always posted on hip2save. The dollar trees in ronkonkoma selden and medford on horseblock road are always hit hard. Especially medford store on horseblock. Tons of empty shelves and never any clothing items. Im guessing because that area has alot of homeless that are known to sleep in those woods around the shopping center.

  20. Rebecca

I haven’t been in mine this week but have seen about all of these here in NW FL. I will say I watch some Dollar Tree hauls on YouTube & people find some awesome stuff….and I might find some of it months later at my store. So keep your eyes open!

  21. Leesa Porter

My DT doesn’t have ha of the things you guys have our DT sucks

  22. LaFarae warring

Love the post . Keep up good work. Great prices. I will have to travel to a DT. The one
    n walking distance is terrible.

  23. *Angela-Miles*

I’ve tried the furlani Texas toast, it’s just as good as the name brand. I also found really cute glitter Valentine flowers, nice for crafts.

  24. Andrea

Love these D.T. Post! Our stores here in Ga are hit and miss. I watch how-to-make YouTube videos that features Dollar Tree items, many times I can’t find the items that are used. Wish D.T. could be more consistent with sending every store the same things!!
That being said, I love Dollar Tree! It’s been a blessing when money has been extremely tight!! 😉👌🏻

  25. Dian

Our DT Store is considered a medium size store but the one 8 miles away is the large size. The difference is the expanded variety of SKU’s. Ask your store where the larger stores are located.
I like being able to go in to DT and finding bargains. It’s so much fun!

  26. DebbieLynne

My Dollar Trees have been getting in some really good books recently!

  27. VICKIE

I consider DT to be a blessing. I am within walking distance therefore i frequent it daily. I have found great deals from name brand food, household essentials, crafts, party items, toiletries, hardware, lawn and garden, flora needs and the list goes on. These items are reasonably price and of good quality considering the cost. I put together an entire wedding decor and was greatly complimented. I guess it’s all in the individual taste. By the way if you are crafty or want to be crafty check out some of the wonderful people on net who are willing to share their ideas and maybe you can share yours as well.

  28. Lizzie Masson

Actually the hunts diced tomatoes are 2 for $1. There’s a lot of great deals at DollarTree.

  29. Angela

I just found a huge selection of Adult Coloring books! The really nice ones that still had the stickers from Wal-Mart on them. Good Luck choosing just one…lol…I bought 5…

  30. MAB

Did you know that there are many items available for sale online @dollartree.com, I believe is the site. Most need to be ordered in bulk, but not all, and free shipping if you pick up at the store you designate. Did this before and it was very convenient. Just a thought.

  31. Xorenee87

My dollar tree has all of these. I love dollar tree!! Best store ever lol Always great finds and all stores do have diff stuff so i usually go to a few different ones, before i go shop anywhere else.

  32. Jackie

Oh PLEASE keep posting these finds! I went and got one of the dove creams, Amazon has them for $13.44! So this is absolutely an amazing deal/find. Can’t wait to try it 😊

  33. Catalina fariaa

I have all this item at all the DT that I go to. I have a lot of DT around me and I always fine good stuff. I live in Orlando FL. And they are all over the place!☺

  34. Ct526
