Previous Hip Tip from Olive Garden ServerThis deal is fantastic for those wanting to save money but it’s not so great for the servers. Guests will sit at a table for 2-3 hours and have several bowls of pasta/salad…. then because the cost is only $11.99… they leave a $2 tip. So if you partake in this promotion, please consider how many “refills” your server brings you and tip accordingly.

You may notice that this is a $2 increase from last year’s price of $9.99. Do YOU think this is still a great deal? Let us know in the comments!

I think it’s an amazing deal IF you already PLAN on going to a nice restaurant for a nice meal. It’s easy to end up spending $60+ for 2 people at Olive Garden. I don’t think any meal deal is a “great deal” if you weren’t already planning on going and go just to get the deal because it’s money you wouldn’t have spent to begin with and once you eat the food, it’s not something you get to keep or anything. lol. And I agree with the server tip that you will need to plan on leaving a good tip so it’s not like it’s going to be a “cheap” meal, just a discounted price on a high quality meal.

Says “starting” at $11.99 The rigatoni with cheese sauce and spaghetti w meat sauce look like the only options that don’t have a asterisk beside them to indicate a higher price so I wonder how much extra all the other options are? I really don’t think that’s a great price anymore up from $9.99 from last year unless you want rigatoni or spaghetti which is not what I would pick. So you might get a lot of food but would it be what you really want? Just my opinion.

    • Just passing through

Agree. The cheap options are usually the dishes I’d make at home for less (like spaghetti, baked ziti). Alfredo is my go to but at a decent price

  3. Rn404

I go to OG often with my mate and we spend no where near $60, even with tip! On average about $35

  4. Taylor

But who can eat more than one of their massive serving sizes?? I love it better when its buy one take one

    • Taya

      I agree

    • ana

agree! That’s actually disgusting. But I love the buy one take one and even then we have leftovers when my husband and I share. Anyone know when buy one take one will be back?

  5. Rn404

Everything at the moment is steadily increasing so I think the price increase is on par with everything else in the world today

  6. Tracy

It’s pasta so you can only eat so much. I doubt most people will get too many refills. The salads and breadsticks are nice but again how much can each person eat? It’s a nice deal for a family to go out to eat relatively inexpensively but it’s a much better deal for the restaurant to be able to attract customers in the door to spend.

I think it’s a great deal.. I often get 4 refills after my first bowl.. this makes it cheaper to eat there than make it at home

  7. Just passing through

The only time I’ve ever been in an Olive Garden for 2hrs was because the server was super sloooooooow.
I don’t really think it’s a great deal since I never eat more than 1 plate and additional servings are smaller portions. I prefer the 9.99 create your own pasta bowl. The Asiago sauce is similar to Alfredo ( at least to me).

  8. Kas

Tried this promotion last year. Ordered lasagna and the first plate was a normal sized portion and was delicious. The second plate was much smaller (less than half) and took about 20 minutes to come to the table, which sort of threw the evening timetable off. If you are going to get a buy one get one free amount of food for each refill, it isn’t. At least that was my experience last year. Also, these promotions often cause servers additional work to meet the requirements of the promotion (additional service to each table, longer table turn overs, etc) so I am in agreement we should tip accordingly.

Not really a bargain if you consider how much a box of pasta costs. But their salad is pretty awesome.
We are trying to eat healthy so pasta and bread are out

    • Krisp

I don’t believe they serve boxed pasta.

      • Mat

It comes in a 10 pound plastic bag, not a box but it isn’t home made. They par cook it in the morning, keep it I refrigerator drawers and heat it up to order

    • Lana

We buy the Olive Garden salad dressing at the grocery store and make our own and it is so close to the restaurant one that we do not feel deprived at all. And it is so inexpensive.

  10. Joni

the only option for 1199 is the meatballs and spaghetti there should be more than one option for that price

  11. todd

I always get the unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks anyway and that’s like $9.50 So i might as well spend another couple bucks and get this deal and take the pasta home for lunch the next day.

    • Lana

No doggie bags with this deal.

      • JElliott

I’ll bring a plastic container for my purse! LOL! I kid I kid 😉

      • Sophie

Our servers always let us take ”leftovers” to go.

  12. Jennlk84

We only visit the Olive Garden a few times a year mostly. Pasta is such a cheap dish to make at home that I struggle to go out and spend $15-$20 per person on a meal there. When we do go I typically order lasagna since it is definitely a more expensive & time consuming meal to make at home.

  13. DebbieLynne

Is anyone a server there that could comment on the prices of the other offerings? I know the Spaghetti and Meat Sauce is $11.99. I’ve looked online, but I can’t find a price list anywhere . Thanks!

    • Beth

      Spaghetti w/meatsauce $11.99
      Rigatoni w/5 cheese marinara $11.99
      Fettuccine Alfredo $14.49
      Lasagna $15.99
      Chicken Alfredo $17.99
      Chicken Parmigiana $18.29

These are prices in the Charlotte NC area. I’m sure prices vary depending on your region

      • Sara

Ouch!!! That’s WAY higher than the advertised $11.99 deal. Not such a good deal afterall…

  14. anonymousinthemainland!!!!!!!!!!

There are $5.00 off coupons in the sunday paper every 90 days, if you figure you can get two dinners fully loaded and take most of your pasta home for another meal with the $5.00 off the meals it is a real no brainer..the server brings us our salads and breadsticks and my soup and my hubs soup when we come in, we always get the meat sauce spaghetti and some cheese they put on it fresh..we eat a tiny amount and box it up..we are happy and full and the server we get brings us a big basket of breadsticks to take home two meals for lets see including sales tax and tip is always about $25.00 or $26.00..we don’t stay long, we know the server we dine in the bar part of the place nice and quiet and get two full meals..a win win situation….

  15. sara

Great deal? No. I can make a bucket load of spaghetti for 10 bucks for a whole family… I mean really!!!

  16. Lisa McWow

Olive Garden Restaurant “Never Ending Pasta Bowl” and their newest “Never Ending Classics” are designed to attract customers ! If you planning on going out to dinner it’s not hard to spend an equivalent dollar amount at most fast food establishments. I believe most people go to Olive Garden because of several factors, atmosphere, food quality and price especially when they are offering “never ending” deals. It’s still a reasonable price considering prices in today markets. I’m going there this week!

  18. Gwen hampton

I thought it should have stayed at 9.99. My family loves olive Garden but the prices are so high. We only get to eat there when u got some kind of special going on. So please keep deals coming thanks😀

  19. Chris Sampson

Everyone knows you don’t go to OG because it is cheap. I can get pasta and sauce at Publix on bogo and have spaghetti for $3. So that being said, if I read this correctly, you only pay for the highest price dish you consume, in this case it appears to be the chicken parm. If one were to order the Tour of Italy as I personally do, then I would expect to spend $17.99. So what this boils down to for me is that for an extra $0.30, I can have a little extra lasagna if I want it or get chicken alfredo instead of just fett alfredo and so on. I think this is a good deal for those of us that were planning on ordering these items anyhow and understand that the stuff is cheaper at the grocery store. But saving money is not why we are going out to eat is it.

  20. Firefighter916

Prices are kind of high. But food is awsome except my last visit last week. Ordered the never ending classic lazania and got someones long hair in my mouth. Ssssoooooo gross. Could not finish my meal.

  21. Ains

I still think that the price of the never-ending classics is a little high.
