It’s not a dumb question, I thought that as well for the longest time. They are not the same. You’ll have to get it from your eye doctor. I heard you can do it online now too but not sure how accurate that is. HTH
Important t o know your size as well as prescription. You can find it written on the inside of your glasses if you can still read it. Sometimes it rubs off.

I have ordered several pairs of glasses from here and have been very satisified. Their customer service is great. I have thick lenses too and I would pay the extra to have thinner lenses because I had to exchange a pair due to this.

That looks like a contact lens prescription, not glasses.
This is an eye glass RX. Some eye doctors, mostly ophthalmologists write their RX in plus cyl form as this one is. The website should offer help in transposing the RX to minus cyl form which is more common. Or try entering with the plus cyl and they can transpose when they make the glasses.

My 6year old got prescription glasses last month. I just want to keep an extra pair of glasses for her Incase it gets lost. Can someone help me with my order confusion? Her prescription shows the axis of 090 but I can’t find the axis 090 in the option.

Thank you! My son just had his eye exam and we upgraded the lenses in his current frames. I like to have a back up pair, because he’s a 10 year old boy and things happen! I got a copy of his new prescription and was able to easily enter all the appropriate information. For under $16, we’ll have a back up pair!

My regular Coach lenses are usually $180 with transition. Without transition I got the same lenses non brand name for $23.95. That is a beautiful thing. You never know when you could fall asleep with your glasses on.
I just ordered a pair for myself and my 7 yr old who has Down Syndrome. I get her a rubber/plastic pair usually (dilly dally) that has no hinges so less chance of frame breakage. We finally got one of those little blue tooth things to hang from the back strap since she constantly loses them. Last week she somehow popped out a lens, and luckily her teacher found it out in the hallway and guessed it was hers, as she wore her old glasses to school the next day. Strangely, when filling out the prescription, I see her numbers are +, which means she can see far, not near. I have been assuming her “weak eye” meant she was near sighted, like me. How strange I never heard that from her opthamologist.

Great prices but just be prepared to wait a while. I had to wait 2 weeks for my pair to arrive and that is with paid standard shipping. These are made overseas probably China hence the cheap price. Just fyi
