My husband has this one. He is pretty hard on his phone cases and belt clips (he goes through several of each with every phone) and this one is still holding up to him extremely well 🙃

I have used OtterBox Defender for my S4(12/26/13-9/21/15), S5(7/?/15-9/3/17), and now my S7(9/3/17-present). Each phone has survived every drop. I got a warranty replacement on the inner frame and silicone outer case for my S5. It can only be done in the first year after buying the case. I only had to pay $3.95/$3.97 shipping. OtterBox Defender has some unfortunate flaws. The silicone outer case starts receding away from the inner frame only a month or two after putting it on. This sometimes makes it difficult to push the tabs covering the charging port and headphone jack back in. The textured outer silicone layer peels away, particularly around the camera opening. I will wait until close to the month 12 deadline to make a warranty claim. I would still buy an OtterBox Defender again.
I bought the otterbox defender case for my galaxy 8+.After careful reseach I decided to go with this one for overall best protection.After an incident occured and my phone slipped out of my clip and hit the floor and my phone cracked.It was about a 2 foot drop and the case is rated for a 10 foot drop.Long story short all I was offerred was a free replacent case for a defected clip from customer service,all I had to do was to pay a 4.99 shipping cost.It didnt solve the crack on my $900 phone so with that being said I will never buy another overpriced otterbox case which fails to do its job “protect your phone”. It is very sad but true.👎👎👎👎👎
When you posted the deal for BestBuy and the S7 Edge a while back I took the plunge and bought it. Immediately I went on the hunt for the OtterBox Defender. It was on my previous phone, my husbands phone and my 13yr olds phone. This case is the bomb dot com. To be honest I can’t believe my sons phone isn’t broken. He drops it a dozen times a day. But the Defender defends…lol And the customer service is top notch. My son has a bad habit of picking the flaps where the charge port is and the case ends up ripped. Twice in a year OtterBox replaced them no questions asked….even though he told him what he did. As for the outer cover peeling away around the camera lens. This is true but didn’t start on mine until it had been on my phone for 2 years. The outer case receding away from the inner case has not happened on my phones or my husbands but has with my sons. This is do to taking it out of the case all the time….That’s why my sons did it.
That being said, because I bought my phone through BestBuy last week they sent me coupon for a free OtterBox Symmetry. When I received it I took it out of the box looked at it and put it right back in the box. The Defender stays on the phone. The Symmetry is an accident waiting to happen…lol
