If my husband and I were to do this and do a shared plan would we be able to get 2 gift cards and 2 credits with Verizon?
Yes, both my husband and I got the deal in December!
I am wanting to pay off my phone and get a new one do they do the monthly payment plans through this?
We did this deal last time it was offered. Couldn’t be happier with our pixels!
Ooh! That’s great to hear Lori! Super awesome you have been so pleased with yours! I may need to grab one as I have not been to happy with my current phone.
I didn’t do this deal, but want to mention how much I love my Pixel 2 XL. I used to be an Apple user all the way, but I wouldn’t trade my Google phone for anything now.
Oh how neat! Thanks a ton for your recommendation!
Soooo upset right now! Bought mine in Dec and paid pretty much full price for mine! :’-(
So we just went into Target this morning to get this deal and they said they cannot combine the promos. Target is offering the $300 GC promo instead of the VERIZON $300 off PROMO for the Google pixel 2Xl 😞
I just called verizon and asked, he said the fine print says the offer can be stacked with store offers. When I asked at target they were unsure. The verizon rep told me to go buy it and the I can call verizon to confirm that the credit is being applied. Worse case if it doesn’t work out I can still return the phone within 2 weeks. I’m going to give it a try anyway.. I’ll let everyone know how it goes…
I passed up Friday’s Best Buy deal for this and was mistakenly told the same thing by a Target rep. I almost gave up but then saw comments in an article that popped up in my Google feed that said the Target guys are wrong and don’t know. So I found seemingly the last 128 gig 2xl in the Northeast (Target stocks mostly 64 gigs), confirmed on the way with Verizon that the deals in fact “stacked” (you can get both discounts, and confirmed this evening with Verizon that I will in fact get $300 in monthly credits over 24 months! Woohoo! You still have time!
Darn! Thanks for sharing! We have updated the post!
My husband got the pixel 2XL and I am in love with it. I am currently using the Samsung s8. But from reading and looking at my local Target ad it sounds like its only the $300 Target GC promo. I don’t see anywhere about the $300 Verizon bill credit? Did it work for anyone?
Nope it didn’t work for us :'(
YES!! IT WORKS!!
Hi there! It seems that it had worked for a few, and did apply when this deal was available in the past. However, it may not work the same this time around. The post has been updated!
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE OFFER:
Yeah, I read the fine print, lots of bs, And you CANNOT cancel the 2year contract for Verizon service at $75/month – a ridiculous price which will cost you $1800 for the two years. PLUS the cost of the phone:
FINE PRINT:
$0 down (for qualified customers) $40.25/mo. for 24 months. 0% APR Estimated pricing for qualified guests with credit approval. Monthly price excludes taxes and fees. You will be able to select your choice of Installment after adding device to cart. Activation fee/line: $30. Subject to Verizon Wireless Agreements, Calling Plan & credit approval. If customer cancels service, the remaining balance of the device will be due.
Yeah, those gift cards don’t look too good now. Go to Boost or Cricket and get a plan for $30/month and buy a used phone.
If you want THESE EXCELLENT PHONES, it’s a great deal. I got the Google Pixel 2 xl, 128 Gig, full price: $949.
– $300 Target Gift card
– $300 Verizon credit over 24 months

Unlimited, FULL RESOLUTION storage on Google Photo forever for photos taken through Jan 2020, then unlimited “high resolution” (16 MP) thereafter. I’m a lawyer. I read the fine print too and confirmed and re-confirmed. Feel like I won the cell-phone lottery with this deal! There’s still time through Saturday I think. In store purchase only.
YES!! IT WORKS!!
Yay! SO happy it worked for you!!
I was just notified by Verizon Customer Care that the programs are NOT stackable…she said that I have to pick either the Target promotion, or the Verizon promotion….
Thanks so much for taking a moment to comment Don! We sure appreciate it! The post has been updated!
OK, so after checking the fine print on the Target promo, it says “limit 1 manufacturer coupon and 1 Target coupon per item”. I got another Verizon rep on Live Chat and I sent him the fine print from the Target promo. He wasn’t even aware that Target was selling Verizon phones. He then stated that he didn’t see how it was possible that I would get both promotions. He then told me to go and talk to Target. I drove up to my local Target. The salesperson there told me that the Target $300 gift card is offered through Target and is independent of anything being offered by Verizon. I asked if I financed and activated my phone through Target, would I still qualify for the Verizon discount? He called his manager and his manager stated that I would have to finance the phone through Verizon to get that Verizon promo. I then called #611 on my cell phone and got a Verizon rep on the phone. I asked him about Target and he advised that Target is a 3rd party sales agent for Verizon. I then asked about Target promotions and he said that 3rd party sales agents are able to offer promotions over and above what is available through Verizon. I asked him if I was able to finance/upgrade/activate a phone through Target, on my account, would I be eligible for the $300 in billing credits. He stated that he did not see any reason why that wouldn’t qualify. I asked if there was a way to double check. He put me on hold and came back on the line a minute later and stated that his supervisor said that yes, you can take advantage of the $300 billing credit if you finance/upgrade through Target. Anything else that Target is offering, you will also get if you meet whatever their requirements are. I then asked if you can pay down the phone balance up front, so that you are only financing what you will be receiving in billing credits, and he said that yes, that is a great way to do it. You have to finance something, any amount, to get the $300 Verizon billing credit.
So there you have it….
