Is this a $40 visa gift card or is it a gift card specifically to be used at Office Depot or Office Max? Ty!!
It looks like an Office Depot gift card.
Thanks for your reply, Becky. Sorry, I guess we were typing at the same time — did not mean to be repetitive.
I was wondering the same thing. Also, how difficult is this to cancel?
I personally avoid mail in rebates. They’ve given me headaches in the past.
From Office Depot? Yikes! I just tried the deal.
It took several more weeks than it should have to get 3 $50 Visa mail-in rebate cards from US Cellular back in 2014 due to technical errors on their end. It was worth it though. That $150 paid for all of the food I ate on an 8-day trip to Los Angeles that year that I didn’t already have a gift card for. It also paid for a few souvenirs.
I have to agree. I have NEVER, and I do mean NEVER had success with Office Depot rebates. The processing takes forever, and I have never had success, And, yes I followed the directions. If there’s no immediate cash back, I don’t bother with Office Depot.
If anyone purchased this deal last week, make sure you contact Office Depot to get a refund of the difference. I paid $38 after the 10% subscription discount and 20% web pop-up coupon last week, but with the new price, it dropped the transaction down to $30. I used the chat to contact them and they refunded me a flat $10, and confirmed the rebate is still valid.
I just did it and applied a 20% off coupon. 94140557 Is the code! With tax it was $30. Woo hoo!
Awesome! Thanks for letting us know!
Think it would still work if I used my rewards to buy it? I’m thinking 3% cash back through Ebates–>subscribe (then cancel)–>20% off coupon code–>rewards to pay–> and then the mail in rebate. Thoughts?
I’m trying the same thing, although I don’t have enough rewards to pay for the entire cost. Don’t know why it wouldn’t work. I think they only need credit card for future subscription deliveries (which you can cancel).
It specifically states you need to use a credit card for the subscription. But maybe you can use rewards- just don’t do subscription?
Thanks for posting. Used topcashback and also ordered the PTouch Labeler for $9.99 you mentioned earlier today in order to take advantage of the free shipping. I am low on paper at home & office, so very happy to get this deal.
Oh perfect! Happy you have been able to grab the items you need on the cheap Tammy!
Amber, I mentioned the label maker because apparently some had issues with having to pay for shipping. (Who wants to do that???) Here is the orginal post:
https://hip2save.com/2018/02/18/brother-p-touch-label-maker-just-9-99-regularly-40/
I combined the two deals because the free shipping covers the label maker and we will still get the money back for the paper. Thanks again for posting.
Great tip Tammy! Thank YOU! 😉
Thanks for sharing! I just got back my Kohl’s appliances rebates from Christmas and now I think I’ll give this a try too 🙂
That’s awesome to hear! You are SO very welcome! Love it when rebates come back!
I am always interested in free (or very cheap) paper deals since I donate them to my church wich goes through a lot of paper. Going to see if I can have this delivered there and save me the back strain. 🙂
Thanks for posting this deal. I order the rebate items online so have a clear record of the transaction. As a Reward member (free to join), I get free shipping on all orders. I ‘chatted’ with an online rep who confirmed the rebate would be issued for $40 (even though the price paid after the coupon is $32). If you want to keep the record of the chat, you can print it and put it in a file with the rebate confirmation code. I suggest filing the rebate online too — type “rebate” in the search box and it takes you to the easy submission page. All you have to do is type the order date and order number. I have submitted many OfficeMax rebates and only ever had an one time (about a pen rebate) and they fixed it immediately.
out of stock
Oh bummer! I am getting that message now as well 🙁 Thanks for the heads up Sara!
Worked for me 2/19/18 @ 11 a.m. West Coast Time
So glad you could grab the deal Candy! Still out of stock for me as I try to add it to my cart. Darn!
worked for me just now… 5:45pm West Coast Time
I don’t understand why this deal has expired. I thought it just started and forget the expiration date but it was still several days away I thought???
Hi Cindy! This was sold out yesterday. It appears to be back in stock now. Thanks for the heads up! I will update the post!
They are back in stock, but I’m getting a different price – $44.99 now for subscription.
Was bummed but decided to check it out anyway. Looks like it is a “no ship” item. So, its store pick up only. Probably out of stock at your set store. Check around. I already ordered for pick up today and my location said they had 35 in stock. Good luck!
Anyone know when we will recieve the rewards?
