For a limited time only or until it sells out, head on over to HomeDepot.com and snag this AKDY 32″ Freestanding Electric Fireplace Insert Heater in White for just $99.99 shipped (regularly $199.99)!
This electric fireplace features a crown molding mantel, LED flames, logs that shine for a more realistic appearance, and a safety thermal cut-off to prevent overheating. It can heat up to 400 square feet of space or it can be used without heat to create a relaxing environment in any room of your house.
Be careful with these, they are electricity hogs! 🙁
Thanks for the heads up on that, DSch!
Thanks for posting that I always look at these comments before my purchase!!! In this case not purchased 😆😲
Alli, the only reason I know is because my SIL got a $400 (plus) electricity bill when we had a cold December, and her house is not all that large. Ambience is nice, but not at that rate.
I had one of these and loved it, I moved and couldn’t take it with me years ago. I just ordered this one and can’t wait to get it. The last one I had didn’t cause any negative changes in my electric bill. If anything it actually kept my heater from kicking on all the time.
Yay! So glad you could get another one! Thanks for the feedback!
If you aren’t trying to heat a whole house, these work wonderfully to take the chill out of the air. We have one in an open concept living, dining, kitchen. Our thermostat for the furnace is in our entry and if the sun comes through the windows it heats it up in there and the furnace won’t kick on. Our room the electric fireplace is in faces north so it generally stays cold, the fireplace is perfect and I have yet to see much of a difference in my electric bill.
Does anybody inow where can I find one to put in a corner? Preferably wood and at a good price, thanks
Is this hot to the touch?? I couldn’t find any information. TIA
The one I had before was just hot to touch around the vent area where the air blows from but not the front or glass area that displays the “logs”. I had a small child and there were never any worries about him getting burnt. Hope that helps!
