Someday…..
I feel you Laura. I’m married almost 25 years and we have never been on a real vacation. Real meaning going to families houses. Never did a honeymoon either. We just could never afford to travel and I will not charge something i can’t afford. I patiently wait too.
We just booked this and used the Kids Stay Free promotion! Awesome deal!!
How did you apply for the “kids stay free”
When you go to their website and choose the cruise you want – it will automatically show that kids stay free. It will ask for the number of people and under Kids, it will show the promotion.
Yes would love info on the kids cruise free. I’ve never been on a cruise but we are thinking of taking one soon with our 3 kids.
Hi Allison! We added links to the Kids Sail Free promo above. 🙂
I’d like to know also! Thanks
Pls tell us how to do kids free !!!
It was a promotion in January early February if I remember correctly
Hi jimisha! We just added links to the Kids sail free promo above!
We already have a cruise booked with RC for June. Wonder if we could still get the discount? It was booked through a travel agent?
You may be able to cancel and re-book under the promo. We did that when we cruised on RC a few years ago. I believe there was no penalty to cancel until within 60 days of travel or something like that.
I just did this today! We booked last weekend and it was cheaper using the Kids Stay Free promo 🙂
Oh wow that’s awesome!!
I believe Royal Caribbean has a price guarantee, where if you find the same cruise, same class of cabin, you can call and ask for their price guarantee. Although if this is a “special” that is excluded in their contract, you won’t be able to get the price difference. If you have already paid in full, they probably won’t make a monetary settlement but give you the difference in amenities, etc. Good luck!
Does anyone know if food is included in this??
I booked thru costco travel for RC april cruuse 10 days ago , when i contacted theh refused the price adjustment.. 500 bucks loss 😂
Angie all meals and snacks are included
… what Livin said! Only times food/snacks is not included is when you eat at specialty restaurants. Have never done Royal, but have done a few others. We have never felt the need to go to or pay extra for the specialty dining. Food is always so awesome on the cruises we have been on — as evidenced by the fact that I NEVER lose weight on them!
Thank you guys, what about children activies..
Royal has great club activities grouped by age. My 5 yr old enjoyed his time at the club. RCL also has free babysitting services during the day which we used a few times with my 1 yr old daughter. They can loan you a stroller as well during the cruise.
We have sailed Royal Carribean twice. Last trip kids were young teens, they had an awesome time in teen area, they were entertained with other teens , very fun activities skating, and surfing were some activities. Adults needed to sign waivers, so you knew what they were experiencing. Also my Son found a steak on the kids menu he had as an appetizer every night. I do recommend buying the pop program so everyone can enjoy hydration
Dawn, no experience with RC, but when we did a cruise with kids in tow, our cruise had soda available when the kids club was open. Just enough for them and FREE. Not sure that is the same scenario for RC.
Silly question from someone who does not drink a whole lot of soda, but when those of you say buy the “pop” program for hydration, what exactly do you mean? Is water not free?
Again, on the cruises we’ve been on (not RC), water is always free (not the bottled kind though as that’s a money maker for them).
Have any of you been on Disney cruise as well?? I’ve been on Carnival, Norwegian, and Disney, but not RC. I feel like once you’ve been on Disney you can’t go on anything else 😅 how do the 2 compare? I have a 4 year old and an infant
They have rules about the infants. We will have a 5 month old at the time and they don’t allow them on board. :-/
We just booked our first Disney cruise for November!! I can’t wait! My husband and I have both done carnival, but I just think Disney will be an awesome vacation for our two kids!
I’m a single mother and full time caregiver but also a travel agent. I would love to help anyone with booking a cruise. I’m not charging you any fees at all. No hidden booking or research fees. Contact me through my website evotravelagent.com/funawaits or through email geri.a.scott@gmail.com
Cant wait to go on our first cruise in June. Collin got any tips for first time cruisers? Where to get inexpensive must have items? Maybe that would be a great segment
Bianca give more details how many days where are you cruising from and to. Don’t over pack. I’ve done 10+ cruises. Be specific as to what you need to know
Bring an alarm clock. Magnets for the walls. White board to write notes to ea ch other. You can also put pictures or decorate the outside of your door so you’ll recognize it. Shoe over the door organizer for toiletries. Try to pack things that you can mix and match. You don’t need towels they are provided on ship. Also get a lanyard or you can buy one there so you can get your set sail (room key) hole punched and attached so it’s easily accessible. Don’t buy the drink packages unless you’ll really drink that much. Highlighters for the daily activities in the agenda for the day you want to do, you’ll get those every night for the next day.
Also if you give your suitcases to the porters when you get on the ship. Make sure you keep a small bag with your bathing suits and any other necessary important things like pills or expensive irreplacble items with you as your luggage might not arrive til after dinner. Also pack clothes for dinner in your carry on bag. You can usually get in your room around 1.
The best thing we brought was a power bar extension cord
Also, you can do self-service laundry on most (not all) cruises. I know you’ll be on vacation, but as Ph said, don’t overpack! We learned after our first cruise. Pack everything you think you need and then take half of it out of your suitcase and just do carry on.
My family is going on our first RC cruise from San Juan to St Martin and sailing to NJ in May. Any tips are appreciated and the kids are 3 and 5. Thanks!
THANK YOU!! I was seriously just slumping around the house telling my husband we need to go somewhere… We booked for 5 nights to the Western Caribbean! YESSSSSSS. I cannot wait. All 5 of us for around $1700. What!?!? Thanks so much Collin and team.
Now… any tips on winery tours *wink wink*
LOLl! Such a great deal! You’re very welcome! Hoping you and your family have a wonderful time!
Looks like you can either get 30% off or kids sail free but not both? Please let me know if someone able to do both. Thanks
Royal Caribbean is one of the best in the business and this is one of their best deals. I speak from experience as a passenger and travel agent who books frequently with Royal Caribbean. We are taking our first RC cruise on March 25th. We have only ever cruised on Princess previously. This ship(Allure of the Seas) will be the biggest we’ve ever experienced. I’m curious to see what the differences are. One thing I’m a bit vexed about already is that RC makes you pay immediately for pre-booked shore excursions with a credit card. I’m hoping if we change our mind they’ll refund our money. On Princess you could sign up for excursions in advance and then just pay at the end of the cruise. Like all of you, I’m frugal and refuse to pay for the specialty restaurants, spa treatments that are way over-priced, soda, alcohol, fancy coffee. I drink water and iced tea all week, but I’m fine with that(saves a lot of calories). The food in the main dining room is always great and included in the price. I think all cruise lines try to charge you for a lot of extras, I just don’t partake. I’m happy to relax and do all the included features.
I can’t get the kids sail free promotion to apply. Not sure what I am doing wrong…..
Hmm, are you clicking through the “Kids Sail Free” link above and grabbing one of the qualifying itineraries? If so, maybe try again in a different browser Or hop on a desktop if using a mobile device. Hoping you can grab it!
