Love this stuff! So yummy! It says mild but it’s actually quite spicy.
Oh no. I ordered it, but I can only tolerate mild heat. Thanks for the feedback.
Beware. This is super spicy.
Oh, thanks for letting us know!
We have this and love it!
Yay! Glad you love it, Suzanne!
Ordered this the last time you posted about it and I love it! So tasty I have it about once a week.
I’m so glad you love it! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Highly recommend and so many ways you can modify! I add coconutilk sometimes or just regular milk and little sugar to reduce heat. I also add potatoes, green beans and carrots… Definitely tasty!
Good call in the coconut milk! I like the flavor but it’s just a little too spicy for the kiddo. Will give this a try. 🙂
Bleh…sorry, but this stuff is gross. Totally not authentic and nothing like how we make Butter Chicken! It’s so easy to DIY and tastes infinitely better.
Would you like to share your butter chicken recipe, I like diy recipes from real people. Thank you 🌺
Ingredients
Â
2 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cubed
Â
For the sauce:
Â
¼ c. oil
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste (equal parts of each, crushed in a blender)
2 cups tomato sauce
1-2 tsp cayenne powder (adjust to your liking)
1 teaspoon garam masala
salt, to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoon heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
Â
Â
Preparation:
Â
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ginger-garlic paste. Cook for a couple of minutes while stirring occasionally, and then add the chicken. Brown it for about 5 minutes.
Â
Add tomato puree, spices, and salt. Mix well and add a little water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 min. Add sugar and the heavy cream. Cover and simmer for another 5-8 min on very low heat.
Â
Garnish with fresh cilantro and add a splash of cream before serving.
50Shades,
Ingredients says 2 cups of tomato sauce, while instructions say 2 cups of tomato puree. Which is correct?
Sorry for the typo but either one works. No major difference.
Beware. It is spicy. We tried it once and gave the rest away because we couldn’t eat it.
