I still have phone with 50 ft cord in her bedroom , and cordless in the kitchen, because when hurricane came through several years ago and no power the phone with cord still working, so I keep my cord phone plug up in the kitchen and cordless every where else just in case. I had several neighbors coming to my house to use the phone because they had no power to charge their cellphone and cordless didn’t work. We were without power for 2 weeks. FYI please don’t forget about how we use to live.
Excellent point! Also my car allows me to charge my cell phone ( via cigarette lighter w/ adapter) without having to turn my car on. Some don’t but inexpensive add to an emergency kit
