Is there anyway to print smartsource coupons from an ipad? It always tells me you need the app, but then I can’t find the app. Unfortunately I don’t have a desktop or laptop and it isn’t worth it to pay to print coupons at the library.

  2. Sonia

Anyone know if the toys inside are good? Just curious.

    • Becky

My daughter bought one the other day. It had a little tiny plastic tiger that looked like a gum ball machine toy. We didn’t expect much but this is what it was.

    • Me

I was wondering the same thing. Also with the word “kinder” in the name, I assumed these are little kid toys? Mine is 10, so I think it might be too baby-ish? Can anyone else tell me what they got?

    • Kristen

Yes! German engineering and European creativity make these toys awesome!

    • je

Really depends. Some are pretty cool and some are meh… finger skateboards, finger rollerblades, pullback cars, figures, games. magnifying glass are some of the things my kids have gotten.

  3. Javais

The toys are small and kinda crappy in my opinion. BUT my kids LOVE kinder eggs. I can get them to do so many tasks by promising them a kinder egg. Lol

    • barbara

Same opinion here. But my kid loves them too. She is almost 9.

I don’t care for the toys either. We have been getting them since Christmas. The candy is very rich but my girls love them. The Easter ones have cuter toys in my opinion. We got one that had tiny little watercolors attached to a bunny. I can’t remember the other Easter TOY but it was cute too.

My son is 3 he loves these things. It has some chocolate snack inside and the toys r tiny like lets say a plastic bike, a spinnig thing like thumbtack type of thing, like rabbits for painting, little animals like dogs etc…

Lol its cheap but it makes him happy lol

  6. Shelly

I m almost 40 & we use to buy them when we were kids (overseas)
It use to be a milk chocolate shell & a plastic container inside with amazing toys…. they changed it recently & it’s not the same but still my kids like ‘em

    • JaryCanary

The ones in Germany are really good. These new eggs are gross. There’s something illegal too about bringing them here from overseas because of the toys in them.

      • Sara

It is because of the supposed choking hazard when a child puts the plastic capsule in their mouth. Not being able to bring real Kinder eggs into the US is really stupid now that the capsules have air holes on each end.

    • 50ShadesofLipstick

Those are the Kinder Surprise eggs, which are different from these Kinder Joy eggs. They still make the Surprise eggs though! I have been able to buy them at some of the smaller Middle Eastern markets here in the US.

      • je

You’ve been able to get the Kinder Surprise eggs here? Those are illegal to bring in the US so those markets must be smuggling them in somehow.

        • 50ShadesofLipstick

Yes, at many stores. They simply ship them over, just like all other imported foods you buy at ethnic markets. Not sure how or why they’re able to get them into the US, but my kids love them.

        • Chrissy Goff

I heard that the ban was lifted. I know that when I bring home about 2 dozen every year nobody says anything at the airport. And when my friends ship them from the APO’s they are not asked if they are in the package anymore.

    • Yana

The one in Germany are Kinder Surprise. They are banned in USA because of that capsule. Apparently USA government think that kids in USA will eat this capsule instead of chocolate and chocked. So, Kinder come up with Kinder Joy -it’s different than Kinder Surprise. No capsule inside

  7. Liz

My daughters age 5 and 8 love them too but the toys are not worth it. Out of 20 toys we have only kept about 1-2. They are cheap, sometimes they don’t fit properly when assembling them. And in my opinion they are mostly boy related toys. Thin cars, skater shoes, boats using the shell of the egg, etc. No cute or well known images.

    • Peanut757

Yes and the boys feel there are too many toys on the market for the girls! Haha…
Kinder Joy toys are for EVERYBODY & all ages. These things are just fun:)

    • 50ShadesofLipstick

Girls can play with all of those things too. Toys don’t have a gender. 🙂

  8. Leng RN

Albertsons has them on sale 4/$3. So with the coupon they would be 25 cents each!

  9. Chrissy Goff

OMG! The german eggs are so much better. I have tons in the attic from my childhood, my brothers childhood, my daughters childhood and now my granddaughters childhood(My dad was stationed in Germany and retired there). The ones here just aren’t the same. I was disappointed the first time I bought them. Whoever sued them years ago really ruined it for everybody. I buy them when I go and visit my folks. They don’t sell them on base anymore because of the lawsuit. I know they selled them in Canada but when you went across the border they confiscated them. You could eat the chocolate but they had to keep the toy. I heard that these were invented because they can’t sell the original egg in stores a few months a year due to them melting so easily during transit.

  10. Pam

I’m not able to find the coupon on Smartsource. Can anyone else?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

If you click KinderJoy in the “Brand” drop down you should be able to see it. Hope that helps!

  11. LC

Great price, can’t wait to try them!

At my store the Eater packaged ones range up $1.39 and the regular (plain white on top) range up $1.32. However I did not have the printed coupon. Does anyone know if this coupon is good for 30day from the day print like when using coupons.com or is it just an Easter special coupon and only good till 3/31/18? however in this first set of 4 that I got today with just the cartwheel. There were not any left in the Easter candy section only what was left in the check out line. I did open one to try it as it was killing me to wait for my son and little brother to open them Sunday. I had never had one of these before and the chocolate candy part was so good. I could open all of them today just for the candy!! Plus the toy is also very neat and the whole idea of it. I got a spinning top and the base connects to one side of the outside of the package. too cool even as a 23 year old I love it.
