Anyone have these?? Do they break easily??

    • Kat

We love these. We’ve had a few since our kids were born. They are now 4 & 6 and they’ve yet to break any of them. Very thick glass and the sleeves help.

I bought one last year when Zappos had 10$ off coupons for email subscribers, and loved it. I took it to work everyday and it fell on asphalt and concrete a few times and the last time it fell off of my hand on concrete it shattered. I’d say it is sturdy if it was to fall on the ground at home depending on how it lands, and the glass touches the ground. I would love to buy another one but since my work environment is warehouse don’t want to spend more and have it break again. I kept the sleeve so if I do end up buying another one I can change them up.

    I love glass vs plastic

Do you take the sleeve off to wash them? I’m wondering about it drying completely to ensure no mold or anything like that.

I always hand washed mine and only once in a while took the sleeve off but never noticed any molds. I always hand washed mine.

I wash ours with the sleeves on in the bottom rack of the dishwasher.

I throw mine in the bottom rack of the dishwasher (lid on the top rack) and let it air dry after the wash cycle to ensure it’s dry under the sleeve. No mold. It’s my favorite water bottle.

I have a few of these bottles. They’ve been great, except that 2 of them have shattered. I recently purchased some stainless steel water bottles for the times I go to the beach (so they don’t shatter). Another downside with glass is that the water does not stay cold.

Thanks for the super helpful feedback on these!
