Just be aware that natural fibers are more breathable. Babies have sensitive skin and can get rashes when their skin doesn’t breathe. They might not be as cute, but cotton blankets and bedding can also make it easier for children to regulate their body temperatures. Second hand cotton blankets wash up well in hot water and will also be inexpensive.
Yes!!!! I am highly allergic to fabric softener, so a soak in HOT (almost boiling) water with dish soap will loosen the petroleum coating/ fragrance. They’ll get washed, turned inside out, and put in the sun for a few days. I especially like putting them out during a rainstorm because it’s like an unlimited rinse cycle!
I buy almost everything second hand!
