Is this a good deal for these items? My husband has been talking about getting this system for a while, but I am not sure what accessories he is interested in. Also, it doesn’t appear that the skin is available for shipping and it is not available near me for in-store pick-up. Has anyone had any success ordering the whole package and having it shipped? Thanks for any advice! 🙂
Not really… The SanDisk Memory card (64GB) is 20 in Amazon. The Rabbids game is 29.99 at most major stores (BB, Target, ETC) and my kids were not too happy with it. The Dock kit actually comes with the SWITCH (not sure why it is listed separately), and the switch itself is usually 300 at regular price. The skin is nice, but not necessary.
If you are interested in the Mario Rabbids game, go for it, but otherwise I would wait, since you will need to dish an extra 60 for a good game.
This may be a little contradicting to the above but I will say that NINTENDO prices never really go down, so you are likely never going to see the system below 280ish. Unlike Microsoft and PlayStation, Nintendo has had a pretty loyal fan group over the years and for some odd reason they don’t mind paying full price for long periods of time. For example, the Switch has been out for 3 years and has not gone penny below 300, even at black Friday. So If you know you are going to get it, you might as well do it now.
For us I think it’s a good deal! We were already going to buy a switch for the reg. Price 299.99 (I’ve seen it sometimes for around $289) but with these added bonuses it’s great. The switch does come with a docking station but with the bundle you get an additional one. I believe it’s supposed to be easier to play from room to room (diff tv) Also the memory card is great. Whether it’s value is $20-50. The game I have heard is not the best but again at a value of $30-60 it’s good for my kids. The skin is just another added bonus but also has a screen protector so again for kids I’m sure that will be needed! 😂 So I figure if we bought the switch for 299.99 without the bundle it wouldn’t be as good of a deal as this one for the added $30.
It did take me awhile to find a store with the skin available but I did get it all ordered and confirmation to pick up. I checked the in store stock on the skin separately to find the store then started over to order the bundle if that helps you. It showed only available in stores not for shipping 😕
Today Sam’s Club had a bundle for $297 but I am not sure if it came with a game!
Mike-Thank you for the information. That pretty much matches what my husband just told me—“ok deal” but he would still want other games. Thanks again.
