So bummed they’re 100% polyester. Target really needs to stop doing that with all their cute sheets.

I agree. They had these last year around this time and I bought them as a gift for my mother in law who lives near Orlando. Bought them for Mother’s Day at hubby’s request for his mom. Came home and I saw they were polyester and had to go back immediately. We kept the matching quilt and she loved it.
What’s wrong with polyester sheets? Too hot? Scratchy?
Well just in short – from google cut and paste: Although it is less energy intensive than nylon to produce, it still requires more than double the energy of conventional cotton to produce. The production of polyester uses harmful chemicals, including carcinogens, and if emitted to water and air untreated, can cause significant environmental damage. Who would want to sleep on chemically produced carcinogen plastic? Cotton is natural, soft, moisture absorbing, and cleaner for the environment.

Kohl’s has some really good cotton sheets in the Sonoma brand. They are so soft and there’s some cute kids prints too.
All those poor little esters giving up their coats to be spun into sheets… sad, really. 😞

We have these and they are comfortable! The picture is misleading though – in no way, shape, or form would fit over such a deep mattress like that. We have an 8 inch mattress and I don’t think they’d even fit over a bigger one.
I’ve also stopped buying cute kid sheets from target because they’re polyester. They are hot, make you sweat, and not breathable, also make a funny swishy sound. :/
My kids say these sheets sound like wrapping paper whenever they move on the beds. They’re hot too.
