   I got one of these WD passports and I think it only backed up once. It says corrupted. I wouldn’t buy this brand. I paid over $90 for mine!

  Thanks for telling. I am looking for HD….I thought it’s a great price. But I don’t need that u can back up only once.

  I bought one on black friday about 8 yrs ago. And it still works. I guess with any electronics you run the risk of it giving out. But you can add 2 yr protection on it for 2.99. Pretty good deal.

  I have a 1TB WD passport for six years, never failed and I have a Seagate 3TB that’s 3 years old and works perfectly still. Of the 2extHDs, I prefer Seagate, better user interface, more reliable backup. I wouldn’t be worried to buy another Western digital one if the deal is right. I always double backup photos and important documents.

   I’ve had a passport for about 4 years to back up my photos with no problems. This is the only brand my dad will buy.
