They work great, they are wireless Bluetooth. Jbl makes similar ones for much less
The wire you see just holds the 2 pieces together and goes around the back of your neck. They are wireless as you don’t have to connect them to a device in order to work.
They are wireless to your phone , so they connect via bluetooth. The wire you see connects the two ear pieces and goes behind the head.
These are excellent quality headphones, and worth the price. My husband and I each own a pair!
