I have this pool and love it. Paid about $110 for it and a cover so this is a great deal!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

SO glad you are enjoying yours! Thanks for the review!

  2. Melissa

Just once I would love it if pool adds actually used real sized people in their photos instead of mini photoshopped ones!

    • Melissa

      Ads not adds

    • woopdee

Yeah, that adult male must be 4 feet tall according to the photo.

    • AP

Agreed! I typically go to amazon reviews to see real life photos of people in the pool.

  3. woopdee

Anyone know which COVER would go with this?

    • Melanie

We were able to get a cover for ours at big lots! They sell them in multiple sizes. 8-10 ft, 12-14ft & 16-18ft diameter. They are about $19-$25

    • Pikemusky

I just got an intex one on Amazon for around $18. They also have a solar cover available.

    • garenee

Mine was a 12ft intex cover for $10 on amazon. It’s basically just a round tarp.

This pool is great for small kids. Say ages 4-7. Any older than that you may need a deeper pool. We live in North Florida and days during the summer can be close to 100 degrees. We were having to continuously empty some of it and refill with colder water because the pool would get so warm! It felt more like a bath tub

    • Mindi

Our kids are 14, 13, 11 and 10 and they spent a lot of time in it last summer. It’s a good size for keeping cool and not having much maintenance. The water does get warm – especially with the solar cover on!

      • Des

Can a person use this pool for exercise like water jogging? Ty

  5. Mindi

We just set this pool up for the 2nd year in a row and it’s doing great! We did purchase a larger pump for it because the one that came with it couldn’t seem to keep up. We have a family of 6 and the 4 kids were in it pretty regularly. We just have the 12′ solar cover – a cover is a must to keep out most junk. 🙂

    • Mindi

Edited to add we paid $97.99 for the pool and $24.99 for the cover from Target last year so this is a good price!

      • Anna

Thank you for all the info! We have ages 8-5-3 and a 9 week old. What pump did you end up upgrading to? Thx!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks a ton for all of the helpful tips Mindi! Good to know how it has been working for you the past two years!

    • Tana

Also would like to know what kind of pump you bought….

  6. Laura Y

How often should it be emptied and refilled? And does it need any chemicals to keep it clean? If I’m emptying it onto my lawn I’d prefer it not to kill my grass 😀

    • Melanie

Yes it will need chemicals, but if I recall it wasn’t a whole lot. If you take a sample of your water to your local punch a penny and tell them what size your pool is and how deep they can tell you exactly how much it needs. But if you want to keep the water in it, you will have to maintain it like an other type of pool

    • Melanie

      Pinch a penny

      • Julia

Had one that was grazed by a weed eater and it sliced it right away. Patching it has been nothing but a headache ever since. Always leaks!

  7. Brandy

We want to get something for the kids to splash in and I’m wondering if anyone has a pool like this and a big dog outside? Any tears from trying to climb in or holes from claws? Easily torn?

    • Julia

I meant to comment here but, it ended posting up above.

  8. Tracy

30″ is the total height of the pool not the water level. The water level will probably be much less.

  9. cheap mom

so how much does a ladder run for this size pool

    • Sue

You will not need a ladder. Just step in.

    • Jenna

When we had the soft sided pool of this side, the kids and I just had a step stool, and that was sufficient for them to get in and out without hanging off the side.

  10. Jenna

Thanks! Good deal on this, and in enough time to set it up and hopefully get it warm before school lets out! They had the 10×30 for sale at Big Lots this week for $69.99, but for a few extra dollars, getting the couple extra feet and having it delivered is worth it!
Also, I went through USAA Membershop and get 1% back on my purchase.

  11. Michael

Can I set this up and take it down in the same day quickly? I dont want to leave it up in my backyard permanently etc,. I just want to use it as I go along in life etc. Would I be better off with an inflatable? Thanks in advance.

    • KC

Has anyone had an issue with their HOA making them take it down?

  12. Kim

I bought a 14 x 36 pool about 5 years ago. I paid $50 after buying it on clearance from big lots. At the time the original price was around $300. Its an Intex brand. This will be our 4th year using. It’s a great little pool. We did end up buying a filter for a larger pool because the filter that came with it was not keeping up. This seems like a great price, bit if any adults want to enjoy it, I would opt for a deeper pool.

    • Tana

What type of filter did you get?

  13. Jenny G

I’ve never had a pool but I just ordered this and I’m so excited! Can anyone give me a complete list of what we need to maintain it, please? I’ve been reading the reviews but I’m still uncertain. What type of chemicals/dispensers (for the pump that’s included)? Do we need a vacuum and/or skimmer? A cover is a must but we live in hot TX so is a solar cover a bad idea? Is there anything else? Thank you!!
