Denille, I haven’t traded with her so I have no information, but I just wanted to say I’m sorry that this happened to you. Fair trades are what this community is about. I always hope that there is just a simple reason like miscommunication, etc. as to why things are not right and fair , but unfortunately some rotten apples can spoil the day. So sorry!
I think it is safe to say I have been scammed. She doesn’t respond to emails anymore and Petco said the card was used online yesterday. I assume this is a fake name and information. So everyone please be aware.

People can see others have traded with me no problem, if I haven’t seen you around I might just ask the page before I make a bigger trade. Everyone please be aware we have a scammer around lately.
Denille – I’m too sorry this has happened to you. I don’t think I’ve traded with you before, but I see your posts all the time. If you’re going to scam somebody over a $10 Petco gift card, you for sure are a loser. Can I ask what you were looking to get from her in the trade? Maybe I can help.
Yes, I am glad the kitty will be fed. At least that is what I keep telling myself. We were supposed to trade my $20 to Petco for their $20 Target. But mine were 2 $10 cards. People normally send to me first but because I had the $10 and she had $20, I figured I would send first. ~sigh~ What is even more sad to me is they mentioned noticing we had a death in the family and told me good luck on finding a discount on a flight.
Unfortunately, sometimes because of the process, many of us have to be the first to send a code, gc or $ to the other trader, and it’s a bit of a harrowing experience not knowing if the trade will be completed. I wish that H2S would have a separate column for a list of people/emails who have been known scammers on this site. Although there are many nice people on here with fair and quick trades completed, the list is growing of scammers. So sad!
Tia I forgot to say thank you for reaching out to Denille to see if you could help with her loss. That was terrific and it makes me happy that there are still good people out there. I’m realizing that many of the people I have dealt with doing trades, etc. are the SAME people who are kind to others; so getting to know your trade community (seeing familiar names and emails) just makes us stronger!
In my experience, not with this individual, but if the gift card has been used and you haven’t gotten your part it’s probably not a good sign. Sorry this happened.
I’m so sorry this happened!! I was emailing with her just 2 days ago on June 26th. I wanted to trade a $50 Vizio e-giftcard for a $30 PayPal or Amazon giftcard. The Vizio giftcard expires on June 31st, 2018. She said that’s no problem and that she’s still interested. I asked her to send her Amazon e-giftcard redemption number first and then I’ll send the $50 Vizio e-giftcard, since I’m the one taking the higher risk. She got mad. I simply ended communication. I’m sorry though. It sucks that there are ignorant people out there like that who has nothing better to do but to scam people.
I am so grateful you caught it and I am so grateful you now can see why she “got mad”. I hope this post helps others who are in contact with her. I will post again today, as a community we need to watch out for each other.
