Word of advice….this states ages 14 and up. It truly needs to be. (Or at least 12 and up) mom of 3 here and no wimp but this thing is almost dangerous! Not for littles!! My rough and tough 6 yr old rec’d this as a gift and even my husband (the boys will be boys, let him get hurt and learn kinda guy) said “no way. That thing is going in the attic for a few years”

My 8 year old just got this. Definitely an outdoor toy. It doesn’t hurt…the
balls are super soft. Big concern is getting hit in the eye. So eye protection is a must!

This reminds me of our “house rules” “Butts & Bellies” for everything but especially this. We have a few AND have eye protection.
One of my grandsons is 9 and he has stronger level of rules when playing with the Nerf Rivals. His little brother is 3 and thinks the little Nerf pellet balls are candy. So there must be a a higher level of supervision when the Rival Guns are in use. My older grandson does not get to play with it when the little one is around. Great gun for older kids but be on alert if it is use around little kids.
