does anyone know how under armor sizing runs? my son is chubby and normally wears a 16 husky or mens medium in the basketball shorts, we haven’t tried under armor before.

Check the size chart on their website. It references a NEW sizing for boys, due out with the Fall/Winter 2018 line. The website says it will be released July 2018, but it isn’t available online yet. I have a son with a thicker build as well.
My son had that football build growing up too. Just stay away from the tight sports shirts, and go with the looser shorts and tees and you’ll be fine. I’d go for the Mens clothes. Having a boy is fun…new clothes every year because they grow soo fast! lol
My son plays football and is a big boy. UnderArmour is GREAT for the big boys. Look for items that are tagged “LOOSE”. They make shorts, shirts, etc all in LOOSE. They fit great for big kids if you choose LOOSE

If anyone has an outlet store near them, they had 50% of already marked down clearance, which included their shoe clearance. I only had a few minutes to look, bit managed to snag some running shorts for myself, some winter hats and baseball cap for my kids for about $7 each. I also got a pair of running/yoga pants for about $15. My husband is lucky I only had 5 minutes or I know I would have done more damage, lol!
