If these companies can sell a regular $30 game for $8 during clearance sale, why can’t they just sell the games for that price all year round? I bet there will be a huge jump in sales and everyone would be happy. Paying $30 for such board games is way too expensive!
I agree! Especially in a day in age where kids don’t even play board games anymore.
It is not that they want to sell the game this cheap. They just have to make room for the new toys coming in and certain toys or past season items have to go. Stores are almost always taking a loss on the item when they get this cheap. Also manufacturers have a set retail price for their products. So they are the ones that set the price for their products. Some of the larger companies, for example Walmart, negotiate to buy a certain amount so they get a better deal and can sell the item a little less. But even with Walmart when an item gets clearanced really low they are likely losing money but they had to buy a certain amount and if they aren’t selling well they clearance them to get them gone.
I went to get a game today that said on brickseek it was marked down already but when I get there it still was 50% off only. Anyone know when target does their markdowns?
always scan if you don’t. sometimes sticker price isnt updated.
