Reader love these 100% Guaranteed Backpacks!

These are the best bags ever! My children have these and they have been using them for years. They hold up awesomely! I just throw them in the wash machine and hang to dry. They look brand new after 4 years. I took advantage of this sale to order them new ones that were larger for ages 10 and up. My guess is that I won’t have to replace these for another 4 years. Definitely worth the investment!

I’ve had my LL Bean backpack since my freshman year of high school. I’m 31 and it’s still going strong! they hold up to wear and tear from my kids, too. I’ve had LL Bean, Land’s End, and Pottery Barn for my kids and LL Bean is by far my favorite.

I have had mine since I was 15, and at 33 I still use it all the time, and it’s in great shape! Ironically the only Jansport I ever had in school had zipper issues and broke after a year.

If anyone is on the fence, these are well worth the investment. I still have mine from junior high and my 3 elementary school kids each have one. They last forever and hold SO much. My 3rd and 5th grader have this one while my 1st grader has the jr version. This version will last through high school.

I don’t think the newer LL Bean’s are made as well as the old ones, so I’d take the reviews citing 10+ year old backpacks with a grain of salt. I bought one last year for my kindergartener and it had holes by winter break. Going through the run around right now to see if they’ll replace it or not.

I feel the same way. I had my high school one for 20+ years. However the one I bought my son for kindergarten five years ago fell apart within a year.

Great deal! I just ordered 3 backpacks for my highschool and middle school kiddos. LLBean bags are the only backpacks I’ve ever purchased for them and the only reason we’ve upgraded at any point was because of the need for a bigger backpack or the kids outgrew the pattern they had chosen years before.

I agree – the LL Bean back packs were much better – tho the plastic coating inside my 10 yr old backpack just started to peel off. I didn’t even know there was a coating inside until a recent trip where everything inside had backpack dandruff stuck everywhere! Strange, but gross! washed it…won’t come off – like an endless supply of coating in there? It happened just in time to miss the lifetime warranty that is now a 30 day warranty with receipt (except for defects – I’m sure that will include exactly NOTHING!) A couple years ago, we bought a light blue and a red backpack for my boys. The red one was very much pink! (had to send that back!) and the light blue one had holes worn through a few months into the school year! We switched to pottery barn kids – not cheap but super tough material! No longer good quality stuff from LL Bean you can count on — too bad!

I just ordered on of those packs on Monday with just 1 25% off code. 🙁 I might have to see if I can get a credit. I added on a shirt to get free shipping, and now I wish I had waited and order 2 of these bags instead. They make great carryon/travel bags.
My kids used LL Bean bags through preK(1 each) and elementary(1 each) and all 4 of those bags are still in great condition. My DD is still using hers into her 3rd year of middle school. The quality was just as good as I remember growing up for the bags and clothing. I did order 1 new style of backpack(techbag) and that quality was not as good as I was expecting. I think some of that was because of the styling of the bag. I plan to stick to the tried and true styles now.
In fairness I have heard others complain that Pottery Barn and LE bags are not quite what they once were, either. I don’t know if it is the quality that is dropping, or maybe the expectations and needs that have changed.

I received a flyer in the mail from llbean that contained a different promo code. I was able to use all 3 promo codes and get 4 deluxe backpacks for $21.07 each! Thanks for posting the info about theses bags. What an awesome deal!
