I purchased the white desk; it arrived in excellent condition and I was able to assemble it by myself in 20 minutes. Plenty of work space for a 17″ laptop, lamp, mouse and small pen holder. The bookshelves should not be used to hold heavy books, but they easily handle notebook, organizer basket and paper. I’m very happy with this desk. It fits in a small bedroom, the openness of the design works well in the space and is still very comfortable for an adult. Side note: due to the desk being white I did get a desk mat to protect the desk and stop any marks from my laptop cooling mat appearing on the desk.
