Is the Crocs Brand Going Out of Business Soon? Here’s the Deal.
Is Crocs rocking and rolling… or about to roll over?
If you’re a fan of the Crocs brand, you might wonder what the deal is with the rubber shoe giant. News reports say they’ve recently closed their remaining manufacturing plants in Mexico and Italy, and, moving forward, Crocs plans to outsource their entire production to third-party manufacturers.
Also, the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Carrie Teffner will resign in early 2019 and will be replaced by Anne Mehlman, the CFO of Zappos.com.
But, shoe-d you worry? No, because apparently, the Crocs brand isn’t going anywhere.
For Crocs fans, the company changes reportedly won’t affect the production of Crocs or the great deals you’ll be able to score on them. In fact, you can currenly score sweet deals on Crocs.com, Kohl’s.com and even Amazon!

It is being outsourced. Even if they stick around will the quality remain the same? Doubtful.
My thoughts exactly
Makes me sad but I’ve slowed down on my Crocs purchases. I know I shouldn’t care what others think but here they are sort of a joke and considered the ugliest shoes around. I’ve move on to other comfy brands like RocketDog and Teva.
*people in my area consider them the ugliest shoes around. I literally can go days and even weeks and not see them on anyone else.
who cares? they are the ugliest shots on Earth and they charge waaaaay to much for rubber shoes.
I agree, waaaaay too much! Even when they are on sale, they are still over priced in my opinion! No one in my family owns any of their clogs. We do have some of their flip flops, we bought them when they were $5/pair back in the day.

I hope Crocs don’t go anywhere! While I’m
not a fan of the original Crocs, I do LOVE the sandal type styles they make. And the footbed is unbelievably comfortable!
I recntly picked up a pair of Crocs sandals in mint condition at the thrift store for $3.99. They are really comfortable and look stylish unlike the clogs. I hadn’t realized they sold anything other than the clogs before then. I bet the clogs are comfy but if I got a pair I would not go to town in them. lol
We love our crocs here – they are our backyard shoes for chicken chores, etc. Everyone in our house has at least a pair, most have two and they have lasted/held up far longer than the ‘knock off’ versions. I was really hoping they were moving production to the US, but…
Agreed! We are in the country, and my kids practically live in their Crocs boots for outdoor chores/play. They hold up really well, and are able to be passed down, which is a blessing since we have 4 littles!
I looove crocs for toddlers in the summer, they stay clean, they never stink, and they can put them on and take them off by themselves at age 2! I have never paid full price, always find them at garage sales or thrift stores for under ten bucks.
Same here! We are in the city but with 2 active boys we are outside all summer with water balloons, mud stomping, riding bikes, and all sorts of things. We live in them because we hose them off and they are clean and dry again in minutes and never smell!
Crocs are the best for kiddos! So easy to put on, ideal for the beach and grab and go. I think they are super cute on kids!!!!
Literally everyone wears something that is considered a fashion faux pas by others…who cares? Wear what you like lol
I Love my Crocs, all types. Being on my feet all day, I can’t go without them. I wear my clogs around the house, it’s an ease to put on and take off. My whole family owns several, I have at least a dozen.
Crocs are all I wear. I have a few pairs of Mary Janes for my professional business wear and a pair of Kaytees for everyday. Other than the clogs themselves, I don’t think any of their shoes are all that ugly as I have simple black ones. They are comfortable. As for cost, I can tell you, if they are bought on sale, its about the same cost I would spend on other brands of shoes. 🙂
A few years ago I was experiencing intense pain in my heels from walking barefoot, which I love to do at home. Slippers didn’t have the support I needed, and I didn’t want to wear (hot) sneakers inside everyday. Then, I tried Crocs, and I don’t get the pain that I experienced anymore, and it’s an easy shoe to slip on/off. Love my Crocs. Don’t know what I’d do if they closed, too bad they are not having them made domestically.
They make my feet really sweat so I do not like them, at all!
I am a huge fan of crocs….I have both the ugly clogs (my winter shoes) and several sandals. My go-to sandal I have had for at least 7 years, wearing them several times a week in the late spring/summer/fall….
I’m sad to hear that. Crocs have come a long way and I just started wearing them 2 years ago when they started making sandals. They come in all different patterns and colors which I love. But most importantly, they’re comfortable!
I don’t like the clogs, but I have several pair of the flip flops, and I LOVE them. They are so comfy, with exceptional support, and I love being able to just rinse them off easily. I have my family hooked on them too. I hope the quality remains the same.
I LOVE my Crocs. They are the only shoe, and sandal that I wear. They are comfortable and my feet don’t hurt after all day of wearing them and working. I had severe foot problems 15 years ago and crocs shoes are the only reason I believe that I can walk today without pain. I hope they don’t close.
Have 3 boys and they wear Crocs too. We don’t wear shoes inside the house so it makes it super easy to slip on and off running around doing errands and such. We live in a big city and like others don’t care who likes or doesn’t like them. To each his own. I have a pair of Crocs flip flop sandals, originally purchased for my youngest son, but soon took over as a great pair for indoor sandal (keeps me form having heel pain). Hoping their quality doesn’t suffer.
These are hot here in every middle & high school. Some kids buying 4-5 pairs of the croc clog originals.
