Love my 8 quart IP! Don’t settle for the tiny 6 quart. You won’t regret it.
Just an FYI for anyone considering the 8 qt vs the 6 qt…while the 8 qt is bigger than the 6 qt., it also needs more time to come to pressure and to release pressure, plus it requires a greater amount of minimum liquid to come to cook your food in the first place. And obviously it takes up more counter space too.
Either way, the 6 qt isn’t “tiny” as another commenter said…I cook for my family of 4 all the time and it’s never been too small for us, even when cooking in bulk. Plenty of leftovers.
family of 7. I use 2 (8qt) to get enough to feed us all again with leftovers.
Yeah b/c 7 is a lot of people to feed. The 6 qt works just fine for smaller families like mine.
