On the fence? Our readers L.O.V.E. the Instant Pot…
I love mine and use it at least once a week. It makes the best rice so I got to eliminate my old rice maker. It’s very versatile and I don’t think you would regret buying it.
I live in the country and when I was working I was always gone longer than 8 hours, so my crockpot food was always overcooked…I never have that problem with my 8 qt instant pot.
I used to love my slow cooker until I got one of these, it can literally cook anything you cook on a slow cooker for a fraction of the time, it comes in handy for when you really want tender meat or pork and only have 45 min to make dinner.
Interesting putting a pumpkin in there. I am getting a version of the Instant Pot, so doing some digging into this post about good recipes. I think I’ll start with that Mac & Cheese one. But the whole pumpkin, hummm…
Don’t try it. I wasted two pumpkins. There was this post last year “oh it’s so easy”. Followed directions and trashed two $5 pumpkins. Never again!
I thought it looked odd! Thank you for your input.
How exactly did you make it? Maybe it was user error. I make whole butternut squash in my IP often and I’ve never had to trash it. Works out great!
Hi DSch – The small pumpkin worked for me just fine. You just add some water and once done, the peel just falls off. It was a very popular idea last year in the Instant Pot facebook group, which by the way is great to follow along for creative ideas! Hope that helps.
