What happens to the car seats Target collects?
Target is teaming up with Waste Management, who will recycle the parts to create new things like construction materials, plastic buckets, and more.
Fingers crossed they don’t mysteriously pull the Britax seats off the website like last time. Grrrrr.
I’m so excited the coupon can be used towards a car seat base!! I’m due in three weeks and we just need a second base! We have one of our older kid’s booster seats that we can turn in!
So awesome Mj! Glad you’ll be able to score just what you need for your little one! And congratulations! 🙂
I wonder if they wld allow you to just turn in a couple of seats. We have 2 infant seats and 1 thats toddler we have no use for. I can’t even give them away (& in perfect condition! Feel bad adding to the landfill.
you can give away your 20% discount coupons
You bet! I waited to turn in a seat that was in an accident so I wouldn’t have to pay to recycle it. you could donate your 20% code on here.
I could use one 😊
take it to a consignment shop and get a little extra cash 🙂
I have an old seat I’ve been waiting to recycle. I need to purchase a stroller for a gift. The couple doesn’t have a car and they really need a stroller appropriate for a newborn. I’m frustrated that none of the strollers lie flat for infants- they all require use of a car seat to use for newborns. (This couple already has a cheap car seat for travel home from hospital- so the travel system type stroller would be a waste). Any recommendations out there?
Ella,
Do you have a Buybuy baby close by? I use to work there and we were trained on knowing strollers and which ones could hold infants. If not you can always google a number and call to ask for recommendations. Some strollers come with bassinets so the baby can lay flat. I think summer had one with the bassinet and it’s on the cheaper side. HTH!
Ella, Walmart has a stroller called Urbini it lies down flat for infants and when they get older you can lean it foward. I just bought it when I had my daughter in November best stroller ever.
Of course I just got rid of one. I could use that coupon.
Consignment stores in my area stopped reselling car seats due to safety concerns.
