I Came to Chick-fil-A for the FREE Nuggets, But Here’s Why I’ll Be Back Again…
We’ve been loving on this fast-food chain a lot lately ❤️🐔
You’ve probably noticed we’ve been posting a lot about Chick-fil-A lately. Trust me, it’s for the best reasons! Of all the fast food chains in the U.S., I can’t even express how great our recent experience with Chick-fil-A was — seriously, I’m beyond impressed!
Between the free food offers, the impeccable customer service, and the welcoming atmosphere, I’m already planning to head back ASAP… and no, they are not paying us to rave about them and they didn’t pay this awesome lady either!
Here are some reasons why we love this restaurant:
1. The have fun and silly promotions.
Held every year in July, Cow Appreciation Day calls for Chick-fil-A diners to dress like a cow to get a FREE breakfast, lunch, or dinner entrée! It’s a hilarious day filled with the funniest costumes you’ll ever see. I love helping my daughter get her outfit ready for the event!
If free food for one day isn’t enough, you can stake out the line at a Chick-fil-A grand opening to get free food for a full YEAR! No joke — if you’re one of the first 100 guests inside, you will be awarded with a digital offer card that is pre-loaded with a whopping 52 Chick-fil-A meals, so one FREE meal per week. 🍗
They also have the Cow Calendar, though this yearly tradition that’s been around since 1998 is being discontinued after 2018. 😢 It came with both a 12-month calendar featuring photos of (you guessed it) COWS! Along with the calendar, they had a promotion card with monthly free food offers at Chick-fil-A!
I’m bummed they’re ending this program but here’s to hoping they have something just as fun and rewarding in the works to take its place!
2. Their Chick-fil-A ONE app is filled with free food.
If you love scoring freebies on delicious chicken, you need the Chick-fil-A ONE app! Now through September 29th, ALL Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide are giving away FREE eight-count Chick-fil-A Nuggets when you sign into your Chick-fil-A One account on the app! 😋
And that’s just the start of it! Chick-fil-A sends out promotions at the store level, regional level, and national level, so it’s worth checking into your app often to see if there are any new offers just for your specific area.
3. The have healthy, low-carb options — seriously!
The words “healthy” and “fast food” typically aren’t found in the same sentence, but at Chick-fil-A, you can actually find low-carb dining options which is especially great if you follow the keto diet like I do! Remember that free nugget offer I just mentioned? Well, those come in an unbreaded, grilled option as well, so you can score the low-carb nugget freebie until September 29th!
4. They have the BEST customer service, ever!
Chick-fil-A goes above and beyond for their customers, which is rare to find, especially at a fast-food restaurant. They efficiently take orders, bring the food to your table, and do it all with a genuine smile on their face! When I went, the restaurant was really crowded, but I have to say that I was so impressed at how quickly the lines moved — our food was brought out to us in a matter of minutes without any order errors.
Even sweeter, they brought us a free ice cream. I’m pretty sure they just had too many so they asked if we wanted it! Um, YES!
It’s the little things for me – like being in love with their motion activated trash cans – no more touching gross, germy, and dirty trash cans!
“We went there for dinner tonight and it was our first trip out with the new baby. The people at our Chick-fil-A were so nice, and they even came and got our tray when we were done so we could get out of there quickly with the car seat! The teenagers working there that day constantly said ‘It’s my pleasure’ with a smile on their faces… what more could ya want! Great manners!” — Amber at Hip2Save
5. The drive-thru is dog approved. 🐶
Many Chick-fil-A drive-thrus have a box of Milk-Bone dog treats at the window and will offer them to pup passengers. Note that this isn’t available at all locations.
6. They treat their employees like family.
It’s not hard to see that employees at Chick-fil-A actually enjoy their job. And given all the positive reinforcement, job perks, and that luxurious fried chicken smell, I can’t blame them! Some of my own team members started their working careers there!
“I worked for Chick-fil-A for many years, and the best part for me was I never had to worry about lunch! Our operator provided a meal for every 8-hour shift you worked. This saved me so much money. Plus, we received one meal before or after our shift at 50% off. Now, to me, you can never eat too much Chick-fil-A, so I would eat there two times a day – never paying more than $5 at a time. Because our location was very involved in the community, we also received free or discounted sessions at Burn Fitness and the YMCA.” — Alana at Hip2Save
“I love everything about Chick-fil-A. I started working there when I was in high school/early college, mainly because I would get Sundays off and I loved the food. But soon after training and learning more about the company, I fell in love with their business practice/standards, how they make their food (loved it even more after seeing that!), and how they give back to the community. It truly is one of the best places to work!” — Mary at Hip2Save
“I worked there back in the 1900s, 😂 but I liked that they offered scholarships, flexible schedules, and a positive working environment, which you often don’t find in entry-level fast food jobs. The franchise operators always hop in and run everything from the food prep to cashiering, so they are actively involved vs. a restaurant like McDonald’s where it’s hands off.” — Angela at Hip2Save
7. You can take guided backstage tours.
At their headquarters in Atlanta, you can take a tour of the home office and learn about the history, culture, and business model established by founder Truett Cathy back in the 1960s!
But even if you don’t live in that area, you’re still in luck — customers can take tours of the restaurants, too! Inquire with a manager about days and times to tour the back-of-house at your local Chick-fil-A.
Still don’t believe how great Chick-fil-A is?
Check out what Carissa Cropper had to say on Facebook about her own trip to the restaurant! 🤣 I just love her.
There it is, our eternal love letter to Chick-fil-A. 💌
We came for the free nuggets, but they’ve made us customers for life. Keep up the amazing work, Chick-fil-A, and we’ll be seeing you soon! 🐔
We LOVE chick-fil-A!!! They truly have the best customer service and tons of free food all the time!!
Yes, I so agree! 🙌
Chick fil a is my favorite fast food restaurant. Unfortunately, the nearest one is an hour away.
In 2015-2016 I was in a job I didn’t find fulfillment in, had miscarried twice in 6 months, and I kid you not, there were SO MANY days when I would go to Chic-Fil-A near work during my lunch break just to be around kind people. This company is AMAZING! Say what you want to about their values. I’m personally agnostic, but I will patronize their establishments as long as I possibly can and sing their praises, because the way they approach business and people helped me find light when darkness was trying so hard to close in on me. Sometimes it’s the little things. I’m going to get some Chic Fil A right NOW. THANK YOU, CHIC FIL A AND H2S!!! ❤
YES, THIS. Your comment is so appreciated. ❤️
Thank you for sharing your personal story.
Except they are anti-LGBT and your effusive enthusiasm seems to ignore this fact.
I’m bisexual.
This is NOT a political forum, Sabrina! We all come from different backgrounds and have different views, but share a love of deals/fiscal responsibility. I’m sure it makes you feel self righteous to blast a wonderful and giving company that sees value in promoting their beliefs and giving to causes they believe in. If you don’t support them, don’t eat there, but keep your political non-sense out of here.
It’s not political. It’s knowing where your money is going. They are notoriously discriminatory. Although as mentioned below, some individual owners are less discriminatory. Corporate-wide however, this is not the case.
Who are you to police opinions on here Mandy? She is stating her opinion. I have seen other political comments on other posts.
Even more of a reason to love them! Now only if more of this country would jump on board!
It’s this kind of hate that makes me sad for the world my kids need to grow up in. It takes a lot less effort to love than to hate. I pray you’ll find a way to make peace with the beautiful diversity of the world we live in rather than push for everyone to conform to the same ideologies.
Well said Tracie!
Your comment is ignorant
Terribly ignorant
My hairdresser is as gay as the sky is blue and he LOVES chick fil a. He knows the owner is anti-lgbt, but he doesn’t give a flickity flick. He lives his life, as he says – loud and proud!
I know a gay person who works for chick-fil-a. She loves it! No one treats her differently.
If you dine in an employee might ask if you need anything and get you a straw, napkin etc. I’ve had an employee throw my trash away. They have the Disney World of condiments free for the taking. Sometimes they put free food in your app just because. I saw a manager handing out gift cards around the holidays with people’s food. They have free movie nights etc. THEIR DRIVE THRU IS FAST. Way faster than McDonalds. Even when the line is extremely long they bring out the employees with headsets and tablets to take your order.
I take the good with the bad in life. Whatever gets you through this thing we call life, I’m good with. I do what works for me, and you do what works for you. Peace.
Chickfila has never discriminated against anyone.
Except the LGBTQ community. They’ve openly refused service to same sex families. That’s the definition of discrimination.
Believing in biblical principles and following them is NOT the same as being discriminatory. They have never refused service to families coming in to eat based on their sexual orientation. What they have done is made it known that they follow a belief in God. People took issue with that and automatically assumed they were bigots. True Christians exemplify love in the face of adversity and they also firmly believe in loving the sinner just not the sin. It IS a possibility to do that. If you ask me more people have been discriminatory against them for their beliefs than ever the other way around.
It’s always fascinating to me that that argument is often so quickly used… and yet, it always seems to only work in one direction. As soon as the other side reacts or does something that is disagreed on – it’s terrible and wrong. What ever happened to practicing what you preached? And what about other religious groups that would directly confront your own? Your rights supersede theirs? Would you be cool with having Muslim prayers in schools? Or Pagan rituals? Those are “believing in religious principles,” too. Or are those “different”?
Exactly Kevin.
Tracie, that has never happened.
You worked there in the 1900’s! Wow! 🤪🤪🤣
Katrina, If you’re bisexual, have gay friends, or care about the rights and dignity of others around you- then it’s worth looking into! There have been protests for years against this company. There are other places to support in your local community.
The company has backed away from their stance with lack of support towards LGBT families and relationships in 2012. They have donated money to Christian Athlete organizations since then, but I think the younger generations of the family that owns the corporation might be taking a more open minded approach
https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2016/06/14/chick-fil-a-opens-on-sunday-to-feed-orlando-blood-donors/85868494/
They also supported victims and blood donors on a Sunday after the Pulse nightclub shooting.
Yes. Jen
They are wonderful! I went with my husband, infant, and 3 year old. They immediately told us not to stand in line and that he would take oir order at a table. They make it so easy for families with small children to eat out.
While I disagree with the owner’s LGBTQ views, I believe he has the personal right to his own beliefs. His company does not discriminate and treats everyone well.
Well put.
I went for the free nuggets they were advertising and was NOT impressed. I would never pay full price for them.
Sure you didn’t go to McDonald’s?
Ha!
I would like to see examples of where they openly discriminated against someone. I think that story is made up.
Chick-Fil-A and Papa John’s are both great places to eat if you aren’t LGBTQ or a minority (specifically African American), enjoy your free ‘American’ discriminatory nuggets, oh and your Starbucks too. Can’t believe you guys support and vie for this organizations so heavily, really disappointed. Hoping they are actually paying you to advertise for them…
I’m sorry but some of these comments are such nonsense. I have never seen a minority turned away at Chick-fil-A and I would be shocked if an LGBT couple was turned away either. I was there just the other day with my kids and there were two young black men standing right in front of me in line. The girl greeted them and took their order just like she did for everyone else.
The issue is with the company’s owners. Not the individual employees in the restaurants.
I’m from Georgia which is the home of the first Chickfila. we don’t play around about chickfila down here….its so good the calories dont even count…those are Holy calories. 🙏🙏🙏
Love Chick-Fil-A, they treat my sweet little 83 year old mother in law like a queen every time she goes in there. Such kind hearted people. Thank you for your post.
We no longer eat there due to anti LGBTQ issues. Heck, in 2012 the mayor of Boston told them they weren’t wanted. I do admit to missing their nuggets.
In 2012 they stopped donating to those organizations.
Just because someone believes in traditional family values does not make them “anti” anyone. It IS still possible to have differing views and beliefs and still be kind and show Christian love to everyone. Which is what they do.
You guys have been posting a lot about them lately. Sure hope you’re getting paid.
Chick-fil-A has had lots of promotions lately, so why shouldn’t Hip2Save highlight them? Isn’t that what their website is all about?
Love chick fil a! Another tip, if you get the kids meal, you can trade in your “toy” for an ice cream cone if your child would rather have that. In all honesty I get the kids meal all the time and always trade in for ice cream 😉
Just remember that when you spend money here, your hard earned money is going to several homophobic organizations.
I personally respect Chick-Fil-A’s founders for being clear about their values and not backing down in the face of controversy about their stance on LGBT. Any boycotts of them because of it seems to have backfired because I’ve never passed a Chick-Fil-A that wasn’t crowded.
Agreed! Well-put!
I realize that homophobia is widespread and you’re proud of your view that other human beings are considered ‘less’ than you. I only want others who care about their fellow humans to know where their hard earned money is going.
Well said Kathy.
Actually they stopped donating to those organizations in 2012. Except for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which I don’t know enough about to know if it’s homophobic
From 2017: Chick-Fil-A’s Latest Tax Filings Reveal Anti-LGBTQ Support
https://fourtwonine.com/2017/07/10/chickfila-latest-tax-filings-anti-lgbtq-support/
ChicfilA has only been In my area for about a year. We were lucky enough to take part in their “first 100” day of service. We packed backpacks with school supplies for local school children, delivered food to 2 local shelters, picked up lots of trash at a local park, packed hundreds of meal kits for food banks, and at the end of the day got a card loaded with 52 free meals!
It was a fantastic and memorable day. I have never experienced anything but the nicest, most polite employees at ChicfilA. Also the locations are individually owned, and I see the owners at the 2 locations near me all the time. They work hard, and are very pleasant, and have conversations with me. I’ve never really felt like I’ve known an owner of any other business before. They also give away a lot of free treats on the app, and donated a raffle prize to a my local fundraiser. Although I’ve heard rumors about discrimination, but I have never seen or experienced anything but the nicest employees, and best service. From My personal experience, they are polite and generous, and my favorite fast food restaurant!
I LOVE ChicfilA!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Another tip……
Check your receipt for surveys.
Often there is a quick survey that only takes a few minutes, and you get a free sandwich for completing it. Great deal!
Oh no Hip2Save. I have been a loyal follower for years. Please don’t tell me you are excessively promoting this restaurant because you are supporting their stance on the LGBT community.
Collin (and team! :-), thanks for posting all of this great information about Chick-Fil-A. I’ve found your site to be a great source of information about deals I might otherwise miss! 🙂
You’re welcome, Dealzgurl! We love sharing great deals we find with all of you! <3
Hi Donica2013. The deals we share are deals that we think our readers will enjoy – like free chicken nuggets. We will always continue to share great deals that we find with our wonderful readers. Not all of our readers are able to check our site everyday, so sometimes we share really great deals again to make sure that no one misses them. I hope this helps clarify things for you.
I have not seen a site with such a variety of deals! Thank you for all you do 🙂 Please don’t change anything!
Thanks for posting this! I’m going to download the app. This company is definitely right on, and is obviously blessed because of it. We love Chick Fil-A.
Some people just look for an argument no matter what… love Chick Fil A (what they stand for) and Hip 2 Save! Keep up the good work! All you haters… take it elsewhere.
I can usually look past someone’s religious beliefs (I am an Atheist) but I can’t eat at Chick Fil A after I found out that corporate donates money to anti gay groups that promote gay conversion programs. I bet all the people here that support Chick Fil A are also burning their Nikes lol. Still love you hip2save.
Congratulations Ollie G for having THE most ignorant comment on here! You boycott a company for what you deem are intolerant stances yet your last comment showed just how intolerant YOU are. Kudos. Remember every time you point a finger at someone you have 4 more pointed back at you.
I could not agree more Ollie
Ollie, you do realize your comment is painting millions of people with the same stroke of the brush? You appear to be the one who discriminates. Try to be more tolerant of others.
Sue,
Congratulations on showing everyone your true colors. Do you even know what ignorance means? I am fully aware and have done my research on Chick Fil A, but it’s obvious you haven’t if you still support a business that promotes hate. When I was a customer, I was tolerant of the fact that they are closed on Sundays due to their religious beliefs but please explain why I should be tolerant of hypocrisy?
Cathy,
Please use your critical thinking skills. I am an Atheist and if I was bring discriminatory or intolerant of other people’s religious beliefs, then why would I patronize their restaurants in the first place?
In fact, why can’t Chick Fil A be more tolerant of others? Donating money to anti gay groups is the complete opposite of tolerance, don’t you think?
well said Ollie.
That’s right
I will continue to boycott chick-fil-a because they have poured millions of dollars into trying to stop gay marriage and promoting conversion therapy torture. No thanks.
I only go to Chick-Fil-A on Sundays.
Our family LOVES Chick-fil-A. In-N-Out is also very customer service oriented and the food is great too.
I have a friend who is gay and he recently visited a Chick-fil-A for the first time and he LOVED it. He thought the food was great. The owner may have a certain religious belief but he doesn’t preach nor discriminate. The only time he gave his religious views is when he was directly asked a question. As long as he welcomes and serves everyone then that is not discrimination, it is an opinion and we all have one.
Cathy,
First of all they can’t openly discriminate against gay people because it is illegal, well at least for now. I’m sure if it was legal, then they would of course. Also no one here is denying that Chick Fil A is very customer service oriented or has delicious food. That’s why I used to like to eat there, but those qualities aren’t redeeming enough to get me to go back.
You are right though that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when that opinion becomes an action that tries to harm people then it becomes a problem. By donating money to programs that torture gay people, the owner is doing more than expressing an opinion or practicing their religion. (By the way, if your religion preaches harm to others then I would suggest getting a new one.) The owner is preaching by acting on his opinion by purposely trying to strip the rights away from gay people that are guaranteed by the Constitution. All they want is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In fact that makes the owner intolerant and unpatriotic.
Yes, they do discriminate against people–just not in their stores. They actively hurt people by donating money to anti-gay groups, whose main missions are to attack gay rights and freedoms. So, the owner is not really keeping his opinions to himself at all!
I use to frequent chickfila when I was a freshman in college living on campus (like 3 times a week LOL). The employees at the campus food court weren’t as friendly but I do agree the actual restaurants have great service. I actually got a voucher for a free meal one time because somebody before me had left the table a mess and the employees hadn’t got to it yet. They are so friendly! Table cleaned and free meal! Thanks for the info about the headquarters Collin, didn’t know that 🙂 .
Oh and I love the cows Lol, every time I’m traveling somewhere and I see them on the billboards I always read the signs hehe 😉 the goofiness in me LOL. Sad about the cow calendars also!!
Got burnt out from eating the delicious chicken sandwich so much, havent been in awhile need to start using the app again.
I will NEVER support Chik-Fil-A, with the owner being an outright bigot against the gay community, I could never actively support someone like that. In this day and age it is a travesty that bigots and racists still exist. For this same reason I will also never visit Hobby Lobby, the only way we can truly make these owners listen is with our wallets, otherwise you are supporting their narrow minded views which have no place in society today
Why is it that a Conservative or Catholics get reamed for their beliefs? So what if the founder of CFL doesn’t believe in gay marriage? Democrats, Liberals and everyone else gets a pass for their narrow minded views and hate.
I’m a registered Republican, politics has nothing to do with it. Absolutely no hate here, just not going to support a bigot. Love is love is love. If I spend my money there, ultimately i am increasing the wealth of a someone I strongly disagree with. FYI I feel the same way about many ‘liberal’ causes such as PETA etc.
what I mean is that I hear CEO’s saying/reading things that I might not agree with, and everyone cheers them on for it. For example Penzy’s Spices. The email I got really rubbed me the wrong way. But I still order b/c their spices are totally awesome!
The founder here believed that a traditional marriage is between a man & a woman. What’s wrong with his view? That’s what HE believed. And lots of people out there that also believe that view. Just like there are lots of people out there that do believe in same sex marriage. Neither side should chide the other for what they believe in or what causes they choose to donate to.
It’s not just that the owners are anti-gay, but the fact that they use their profits to marginalize and torture gay people.
How would the owner or employee know if two people of the same sex coming into the restaurant know if the couple is gay? I’m pretty sure they are too busy with their work to scrutinize for possible homosexuality. I go there with one of my girlfriends, and sometimes we even take our kids so I guess, if anyone actually cared. we could be construed as gay. I seriously seriously doubt that anyone got turned away because of their sexual orientation. Do you have a link to share with us? The only thing I’m sensitive about is having their chicken sandwich for breakfast!
Sorry…should have proofread my post better. (Plus, I meant that I love being able to get a good chicken sandwich for breakfast)!
Hip2save will not allow me to post a link, however a simple internet search will verify the facts. Just search ‘chick fil a owner gay marriage quote’
No one cares about anyone’s social justice warrior stances. I know I certaanly don’t. This post is about chicken and great deals.. . If you dont like it, dont buy it. Go move mountains and “change the world” with your usual “tolerance” postings on twitter or whatever.
Not a social justice warrior by any means. People who are unable to have an open minded discussion are not doing society as a whole justice. If that is what the owner believes, so be it, it’s a free country after all. Your absolutely correct in that if I don’t like it don’t buy it.
Vintagemidge,
Obviously you care enough about social justice warrior stances to make a comment about them or else you would have just scrolled on. If you look at the previous comments, it was a Chick Fil A supporter that brought up “tolerance” in the first place, not the social justice warriors. Also I don’t understand why you have an issue with people wanting to be treated as equals. Why is that a bad thing?
I am just amazed at Chickfila and their deals. They give me a free item on my app at least every 2 weeks. Many times I will use a free coupon and on my receipt is a survey for another free item! I can’t say enough good things about them. although, when I get a free item, I always buy something, which happens to be a strawberry shake, love them! So, calorie wise, they aren’t helping me, lol!
I can’t count how many times they’ve given us a gift card for free food out of the blue. Yummy food and great customer service!
If only they didn’t spend so much money trying to fund efforts to remove people’s civil and human rights… 🙁
Tracie you are incorrect and misinformed. Stop spreading lies and hate. Your blasphemous remark should be deleted.
Donating money to anti gay groups is the complete opposite of tolerance, don’t you think?
NOPE. They are putting there $ where there mouth is. They don’t just talk the talk but walk the walk.
5pink1blue,
I think you need to need to search hip2save for a deal on a dictionary also. To tolerate, means to “allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.” If the owner was allowing the existence of gay people then he wouldn’t interfere in their lives and donate money to programs that are trying to convert them.
I am not a supporter of Chick-fil-A because of the anti-LGBT views of the owner.
LOL at the trolls. I have never seen discrimination at a Chick Fil A towards anyone. I’m a minority and they are as friendly and courteous to me as they would be to anyone else. These spammers are the ones who disgust me with their innuendo
Nels,
Definitely shows your morals that you are more disgusted with the people calling out Chick Fil A than with Chick Fil A’s actual financial contributions to anti gay groups and conversion programs. Just because you don’t agree with someone, doesn’t make them a troll or spammer either. I would think as a minority you would be more empathetic to the plight of another group that has been historically discriminated against. I am also a minority and I am glad you haven’t experienced or witnessed discrimination at Chick Fil A restaurants because that practice is illegal. There are laws in place to protect us. You also need to search for a deal on hip2save for a dictionary because you obviously don’t know what innuendo means lol. The people on this forum that don’t support Chick Fil A haven’t been allusive or oblique with their disapproval of the company, in fact we have been pretty straightforward. If you can’t see that then maybe you should also brush up on your reading comprehension skills.
I love Chick-Fil-A! They are respectful, kind, have great community involvement (supporting local schools), their employees take pride in their appearance, and their whole premise is being a wholesome establishment! I love these deals H2S! Keep posting!!!!!
Pretty sure the founder isn’t discriminating against anything, as he’s been dead since 2014. Franchises are owned by individuals who undoubtedly have their own opinions and ideas and support their own causes. It’s just as discriminatory to paint them all with the same brush as it is to do it to anyone else. The post-Pulse terror attack demonstration of support is the best example possible that contradicts comments that the entire company is anti-LGBT. Clearly, not everyone is and they’re doing a lot of good for the communities around their stores. If you draw a hard line based on the charitable organizations they support, that’s entirely your right to do so. The nice thing about America is that we have the right to disagree. We don’t have the right to attack each other based on that disagreement.
Pro-Tip: Go to Chick-Fil-A to only get the free chicken nuggets and never go back, so you’re actually taking away their profits – less to donate to anti-LGBT groups. 🙂
LOL! That is what I do to the spice co. penzeys that spread hate and intolerance.
