I bought this a year or so ago when it was posted and honestly, I do not think it’s worth the money. I have tried it in various outlets in my home and, at least in my house (wood frame construction with drywall–no brick or concrete anywhere inside) it does NOT improve connectivity or boost the signal.
This is, of course, just my experience.
@mckeeversmom thanks for the info!!
Bummer! SO sorry to hear that! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience with us!
Hi there, I have similar experience with one. Just wondering if you used something else to improve the signal strength ?
Hey Kaur, I switched to “Ethernet over power” or Power line adapters. They were WAY more expensive, but they work awesome! Probably not a good fit for most people because they are expensive, but now I have solid wifi in all corners of my home.
Bought this too and didn’t work great for me either.
Got one! The reviews on Amazon are great.. I guess if it doesn’t work their return policy is great!!
Hoping it works well for you, Heather!
I have one and it helped in my house!
Yay! Thanks for taking a moment to comment! Super glad it has worked well in your home!
Keep in mind exactly what this is…It boosts your current signal throughout your house it does not increase your signal from the cell towers. For example if your coverage in a bedroom is poor because of where you’re Internet comes into your home this just works as a halfway station to get that signal to the back of your house. It has nothing to increase the cell tower reception to your house.
We bought one for our house as we have our router in the basement and we could not get Netflix to work upstairs on the 3rd floor. This boosted the signal enough so we could use Netflix on the upper floor of our house. Keep in mind depending on where your internet comes in it has to bounce around to get where it needs to go this just helps. For the price worth a try!
It’s only 2.4 GHz. That is good for distance and simple browsing, but not for streaming. Kinda becoming obsolete. I would have purchased if it was 5ghz
