I recently dropped down to Green status and got an offer in app to make any purchase tomorrow only and get Gold status for one year.
I did not have it in my email but had in my app inbox. I don’t go much, it is more to treat friends. Is Gold status worth it in your opinion? TIA
Question: do you still have to load funds to your Starbucks app or card in order to earn points or can you earn points by scanning your card and actually paying for my purchase in cash?

No, you don’t need to purchase a specific food item – and it does not need to buy a drink. I usually purchase the cheapest item on the menu … usually a banana for $1.
