    I bought 2 Maybelline Eye Shadow Singles $3.99 * 2 = $7.98 and 2 lip pencil NYX: $3.69 – 2 = $7.38
I try to use the $3/1 Maybelline product store coupon printing at the Magic Coupon Machine and the $4 off $15 cosmetic for eye, lip. But the machine only took off $1.66 of the $3 Maybelline coupon. I told the cashier it doesn’t right. She tried to argue with me that my total below the coupon that why the system adjusted. I asked to talk to the manager, the manager came out and refused to do anything. He said what ever the system take and he said I can’t use the 2 coupons in the same transaction. I’m very frustrated with the CVS system.

Did you use any EB’s to pay? There is prorating of EB’s across all items now, so that’s why the crt adjusted down.

Let’s say you used $10 in ebs. The system will take a % of the $10 and prorate each item. So the system instead thinks that the eye shadows are $2.33 each, instead of $3.99. That’s why the register calculated $1.66 instead ($3.99 – $2.33 = $1.66).
It is frustrating b/c customers shouldn’t have to figure out some complicated math equation to see if crt’s will adj down or not!

Thank you for the explanation to me. Yes, I used $8 EB. I don’t know that EB will take % across the item. When do they change it? They make it’s so complicated now. I don’t know how to do the math equation. I know the % coupon now is useless if I use the EB.
