Be sure to check your confirmation email. That’s what happened to me and once I ordered, the promo code was removed and after I added a beauty item (to get free shipping), I was charged shipping as well.
Customer service was of no help and all they offered to do was cancel my entire order….so that’s what I did!
Macy’s always gives me trouble. The code was working, then I opened my stuff in a new tab (thru ebates) and I can neither reapply my promo code NOR check out!

The website was giving me problems so I called the 1800 number and they gave me an extra 20% off and free EXPRESS shipping!! Got my toddler and myself a big winter coat for $40!! I live in Florida so I never buy one for myself but am taking a trip next month and didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a jacket I’ll hardly ever wear. This was a perfect and timely deal! I bought coats like these last year from Macy’s and they are not very good quality. My sons had seams that were coming unstitched but we were able to exchange in store for another one which hasn’t fallen apart yet. My daughter’s coat waited just long enough to come unstitched after the return period passed so we are stuck with her coat that is coming apart in several places. I would not recommend buying these.

I just messaged Macy’s because I’m getting the same error message as others and they told me that the code TREAT isn’t valid on the coats listed for $19.99 :/
WORST customer service EVER! I’ve been in touch online and through the phone and they were both rude. They told me the code does not work on a sale item. Then they said that the code could not be applied to my sale item. Then they said they’ll cancel my order when I hadn’t even placed the order yet. I was told “upon my concern over the system not allowing the code to go through, because of the error code, then you cannot use the code” Umm, thanks…

My order went through but the promo code was removed when I clicked “place order.” I called customer service, had a short hold time, and the woman I spoke to manually applied the promo code. She said I’ll receive a confirmation email shortly. Hope others can get the issues resolved as easily as I did! Definitely try customer service if you haven’t.

I was able to order and apply code when using the Macy’s app
After over an hour of trying and retrying (experiencing everything from the promo code not working or the site just not letting me check out due to technical difficulties) I just now was finally able to complete the check out process with the promo code. $30 for two coats. That’s a great deal when you have two small children who will outgrow them in a year or two. Keep trying! It will work with the code! I was trying on both my laptop and my phone periodically and was able to complete the process through the Macy’s app on my phone.
It just worked for me, so be patient. The code worked on kids AND adult coats. I just got myself a Michael Kors coat for $108, which had been on sale for $154! It’s worth trying on this one! Woo!

I’m thinking it might be a glitch that the promo code is working for some. It worked until I placed the order, then it was removed, so I chatted with online support and they said the promo code cannot be applied to items that are labeled “lowest price of the season”. :(( Still a decent price for winter coats, if they’re good quality. We will see!
The codes work in the app, but I am on the phone with customer support because “there is technical difficulty” processing my payment. The code applied and I just gave the rep my cart ID #
So even better, the representative just gave me additional discount and I got 2 coats for $30!

I was able to place my order with no problems just now going through the Ebates app. Bought one girls coat with the 30% and free shipping to the store. Less than $15 score!
Persistence pays off- finally got it all working. Used Chrome on a Desktop. Went thru Ebates, but every time I had an error, I went back into ebates and clicked thru to Macy’s again.
I had a cash back offer on RetailMeNot- $20 back on a $100 purchase! Everything was slow but working until I got the order confirmation email, and TREAT didn’t apply (even though it was applied in my cart). 16 minutes on the phone with customer service, and they say it’s fixed. Hopefully so!

This is a great deal I got three jackets for my kids!!! But use the Macys app I tried four computers at work nothing three browsers and nothing kept getting an error download the app and it worked!!!! I also call care and they told me the coupon could be applied!! But it worked with the code and app use the Macys app!!! Mobile app

Worked bought two coats!
Tried many times. Code does not work. Im guessing it was a glitch that is now fixed. As stated on the coupon rules it cant be applied to LOWEST PRICE OF THE SEASON items which is what the coats are as well as the majority of their damn website. Would have been great if it worked but NO LUCK.
