  5. Karen

I just tried this and I’m sorry to say….it’s disgusting and a waste of money. I spent $16.00 on 3 small ones and I’m extremely disappointed 🙁

    • Rachel

Thanks for the heads up. We wanted to take the kids for this. I probably won’t bother now.

    • Laurie

Maybe next time buy one small and ask for extra cups – then if everyone likes it, you can order more

    • Lexy

Thanks for letting me know I was just thrown off by the Chia seeds Looks cute but with Chia not one bit appetizing

      • Heather

    • Martha

Wtf? lol you must have a bad taste I just tried it and it’s GOOD!

  6. Rebecca

I saw the email this morning. Just split a venti for my kids, and they really like it!

Are chia seeds something you can usually add into a drink? Curious about this now… I do love a good chia seed beverage!

    • Dani O

Chia seeds can totally be added to just about any drink. They’ll just absorb up the liquid and turn gelatinous. They’re full of omega-3s and help to clean our the digestive tract, so proceed with caution 😉 I occasionally just have them dumped into water, but they’re perfect for adding to smoothies or juice to bulk up the drink with more nutrients. They can also be used as a vegan egg substitute but require more liquid in the recipe since they’ll absorb it all.

    • Dani O

Wait, did you mean at Starbucks? LOL. That, I do not know, but it’d be awesome if they started because clearly that’s an upgrade I’d definitely take advantage of 😉

      • Rachel

I did mean Starbucks, I actually do very much appreciate the info you just gave me!! I’ve been trying to research into this. I want to incorporate chia seeds into more of my daily life. The more info the better!!!!

And I totally agree, if Starbucks put chia into more beverages it would be amazing… even just like, in a refreshers. Can you imagine a chia seed pink drink? Delish!

        • mel

I put a tbsp of chia seeds in a bottle of water every morning. In about an hr, the seeds get jelly looking. They just slide right down. It keeps me full and from picking during the day and er, cleans out the system! I also sprinkle chia seeds in yogurt and use in baking, for things like banana bread, cookies & pancakes. I haven’t tried it yet, but found a recipe for Strawberry Chia pudding that looks amazing!

        • Jen

I don’t see this mentioned much, but if you have heartburn or acid reflux, chia seeds work like magic. Just swallow some with a tiny bit of water, and they absorb the acid. I was in terrible pain several years ago and normal acid reducers weren’t working. Read about this remedy and it was a miracle. I started with 1/4 teaspoon.

I’m not sure about long-term use, just like otc options, it probably isnt something you want to do forever.

Oh and they keep me up if I eat them too late at night! Energy burst!

  8. Janice

With all these chia seeds, I wonder if we will start growing green stuff out our ears..lol. My son saw me putting chia seeds in my smoothie and couldn’t stop laughing. Every time he sees me, he sings, cha-cha-cha chia!

    • Rachel

This is the exact same thing I sang to my boyfriend when he first started drinking chia kombucha!

Thanks for bringing some light to my day! 😊

  9. Suzan

Just tried one and it was so gross I couldn’t even drink it! Worst tasting drink I’ve ever wasted money on.

  10. JA

I asked my barista today and she said its like a creamsicle milkshake. Not as sweet as the drinks they have had in the past. I will probably take my daughter tomorrow to get one. I need coffee in my drinks lol

  11. Jodi k

I got one today, it was my free birthday drink, so can’t complain…
It isn’t something I’d spend my $$$ on. It was ok.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks for sharing! Happy Birthday!

  12. Stacey

Just tried it and it was disgusting..never again

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

DARN! SO sorry to hear you didn’t care for it!

  13. Momma

I seen several of these drinks tossed in the Target parking lot when I pulled in LOL 😂 purple everywhere! That made my decision for me 😂😂

  14. Coley

Took my 8 yr old to try one and I agree DISGUSTING!!! 🤢👎🏻

  15. VickiL

Took my 13 year old after school. She said it tasted like the milk from Fruity Pebbles cereal. On a 5 star scale she gives it 3 1/2. She always goes back to her favorite Pink Drink.

  16. Melissa

I just happened to be in Kroger today & noticed the advertisement for it. I thought it looked like something fun to try. I actually liked it. It was just a hint of orange and I was glad that it wasn’t super sweet. The chia seeds were a little different texture wise in a drink but it made it look cool!

  17. Ashley

I threw mine in the garbage! First Starbucks drink I ever couldn’t finish. It was so gross and slimy. The chia seeds have a gel around them.

  18. Jennifer

Well, it is a witches’ brew 🙂

  19. Samantha

Well, I see everyone hates them, but I tried them today and thought they were ok. They had free samples at my Starbucks. I think they are definitely better than the zombie brain Halloween option they had previously. But if you don’t like orange creamsicles you won’t like it. I thought it was a little less sweet than some of their drinks too, which I liked.

Is anyone else having trouble with the app? I can’t see pics in the list of postings and when I click the posting I can only read the title, nothing else shows up. I’m wondering if it’s something happening with my phone?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi rach! I’m so sorry for the trouble! Are you able to try deleting and re-installing the app to see if that fixes your problem?

  21. Cindy

Got a free sample at Target!
