   For reference, an I9 is the newest processor. This has an I5. Kind of old. My brother’s boss got him a Dell with an I5 and my husband had to make extra steps to get a complicated program to work on it. It’s not a bad computer if you want to take notes, etc but it’s far from current.

  Probably had to take extra steps because it’s a corporate computer and no good IT department wants employees to install anything on their devices. i9 is not a new processor. An i9 is just faster than a i5. i5 is fine. I work in IT. Let’s hope that the IT department doesn’t find out that employees are just installing software because HR wouldn’t appreciate that.

   I have this exact computer and I paid around $700 for it in August. I use it for basic web based programs (Cricut Design Space, training videos for work, etc.), Microsoft Office products, and accessing our home storage device. I’ve never run into any issues with it. I am really happy with it and highly recommend.
