    Yayyy

  2. countrygal

That’s nice. Thanks for letting us know.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome!

  3. Ashley

Not to be THAT person but… it seems kinda crappy to be raising the rates for prime members to turn around and offer free shipping for everyone. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it was for one day but if this turns into the whole holiday season I see it has a problem. Seriously doubt they will be offering a discount for their loyal prime subscribers.

    • Katie

It is really crappy. I’m wondering why I pay for it. They’ve gone downhill anyways, doesn’t seem worth it anymore.

      • Me

I’m right there with you guys. It’s really not fair when we’re paying more for Prime. HOWEVER, I pretty much expect this from Amazon. They are going to try to cut away the competition at any cost. While my husband loves Amazon, I won’t spend anything there. At some point, when all the small guys are gone, they will INCREASE shipping/costs for EVERYONE….just because they can. Be wary of the wolf in sheep’s clothing!

    • Jennifer

I agree completely! For the price, there should be some compensation for those of us who pay for the service. This will probably just lead to higher rates for Prime members down the road…

      • Ann

        I agree

      • Michelle

This blog post doesn’t state all the facts. Prime Members get 2 day shipping. The rest of us still get 5-8 day shipping.

        • Tia in FL

Hey Michelle, where did you see that? I’m not seeing a difference in delivery times anywhere.

          • Michelle

I see it in their press release.

        • SB

Prime members are already supposed to get 2 day shipping for their membership, just FYI.

      • Sharon

I am out at the next prime increase.

        • Nicole221

I thought the same thing and I’m kinda glad someone voiced it! I think it is great that they are offering this for people however it’s not really fair that we have paid the yearly membership fee just to have the same thing that is now FREE. ☹️😬

          • Jodi P

It’s not the same thing. It’s not free 2-day shipping, with amazon video, music, photo storage, kindle deals and free ebooks and audio, free washington post online, etc. and a lot of other Prime benefits.

    • NV2007

Totally agree. It’s really maddening, to be honest. I mean, in the grand scheme of life, it’s not a big deal – I know. But to raise Prime membership rates just to supplement this cost, essentially, is really crappy.

Never mind that UPS now extends their delivery times for most of November and ALL of December (so a 2 day transit via UPS Ground usually turns into 3 days “standard”). This hurts my business SO much. Our delivery times are extended to all of our customers and also with inbound freight – and any UPS driver I talk to (our driver is amazing at my company!) blames Amazon. His truck is often FULL of Amazon boxes. I can only imagine how this is going to impact that volume. 🙁

      • Katie

They’ve also cut employee benefits while raising rates. No more stocks and a new pay cap. I loved working for them for years but quit in disgust when I was told as a problem solver to lose people’s returns to work faster. They used to be a great company. They aren’t anymore. It was so sad to watch it happen from the inside. Just pure greed. All this is is a stunt to get new customers whom they also won’t care about.

    • Laura

then don’t sign up to be a Prime member. Amazon is consistently offering me a free trial. Plus with the free shipping they offer during the holidays – why would I waste my money?

      • Katie

May I borrow your time machine to take your helpful advice?

        • Tadashi

You can cancel at any time, Katie…and you get your money back for the unused months of your membership.

      • NV2007

Because I had no idea there would be free shipping at Christmas anyway. And without Prime, I’m waiting for some items for as much as 2 weeks (which is ridiculous if I’m ordering online). When I haven’t signed up for Prime, I have never been offered a free trial (since my initial trial years ago).

        • JACKIE ESPARZA

they post them at least once a week for a free trial.and all these people saying two weeks. maybe for an add on. I get mine within 2 days latest maybe 5 days. I am always ordering even to hawaii it gets there quick.

      • Sharon

Are you able to do the free trial more than once?

        • Laura

          I have – 3 times so far! It’s awesome.

        • shop4mybabies

before my daughter got prime for half price with her college email, i just started a new email and did a prime trail…emails are free and you can make as many as you want

    • Emily Marino

I agree with you. I was wondering if they were going to pro-rate the Prime Members for that extended period of time.

    • Tracey

And to also not be That person! Lol…i was kinda ticked about Target.com doing the same thing right now. If you have a target debit or credit card we get free shipping all year but when they do these promos…stuff gets sold out ASAP because there is no shipping minimum or Target affiliation required. Now obviously I’m not paying for a prime membership that seems to be ever climbing in price but I also don’t get free video streaming etc. from Target. I know I should just be grateful.. 🙂

    • Steph

That is why I did not renew my prime membership last month. I will give my business to my local Kroger for food items and order everything else from Walmart/ B. Buy/ Target that offer free shipping or pickup with incentives. Amazon has lost me as a customer

    • Luv2$ave

I thought the same thing! Very frustrating!

    • Maggie

Basically, it seems like those of us who pay for Prime (and got socked with the increase) are subsidizing free shipping for the people who chose not to pay for Prime. Am can afford to offer it to everybody because they’re making so much from the Prime increase, I guess. It honestly SUCKS. Prime Day was a bust too with their server crashing. It pretty much seems like we’re now just paying for a few sales at Whole Foods.

      • Jodi P

Amazon has always given free shipping to those who spend more than $35, anyway.

    • rebecca

i feel like it would be a great deal if they would just extend the membership for all those who have paid for Prime by adding one month on free to their memberships before their next year is due.
      i’d feel fine about that.

    • Jodi P

      Oh, PLEASE.

Its not the 2-day shipping that you get with Prime.

Shipping is free ANYWAY with a $35 order, and most people DO spend that much to avoid paying any shipping. PLUS, people spend more in Nov and Dec, so these orders would ship free, ANYWAY.

Prime also includes Video, Music, etc, etc, which the free shipping offer does not include.

Amazon, like ANY other business, tries to attract new customers (and Prime members) by enticing them to do business with Amazon. Tell me you’ve never taken advantage of a new checking account with a cash bonus offer, a new credit card with new-customer cash back or a big store discount, or new-customer rates for your cable, internet, or cell phone.

This isn’t much different than Amazon’s free 30 day trial of Prime.

Finally, Amazon doesn’t really care if you cancel your Prime. Very few people will do that, and Amazon is likely to gain a lot more customers than they would lose.

      • Heather

Thank you, you said it much nicer than I could have 🙂

      • Ashley

Actually it’s a lot different than the 30 day trial, which has been around forever and actually shows you what the benefits of prime are. This is just offering up free shipping to everyone. Even the free shipping over $35 has a purpose, an incentive to get people to purchase more. The whole “this is a promotion to show people the benefits of prime” makes no sense because it doesn’t show the benefits of prime. It just hands out free shipping. I don’t think any of us care that they are giving free shipping out, but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth when I’ve already paid for that service and I couldn’t care less about the other “benefits” of prime. It’s like paying for a subscription to XM only for them to turn around and let people have it for free.

You are right about one thing though, amazon doesn’t care if we cancel. But then again that’s a big part of the problem.

        • Jodi P

XM does do free promotions. Consumer Reports magazine opens their website to everyone for free, for two weeks every year. Online newspapers do the same thing.

HBO, Showtime, STARZ, etc all have free weekends a couple times per year. I just had a whole month of free HBO.

THIS WEBSITE is constantly listing deals that we’re all taking advantage of…..Macy’s has had free shipping days and weeks, as have other stores.

          I don’t understand the problem.

    • Jodi P

So, you won’t be taking advantage of ANY free shipping offers at other stores, if those stores give free shipping to people who have that store’s credit card, right?

I have a Target credit card and get free shipping. I PAY INTEREST on that credit card, hence the free shipping. Now, target is offering free shipping for everyone thru Christmas.

So you will, on principle, NOT take that free shipping, right?

    • Cathy

I agree, I think I might not renew in Feb! The holiday season is usually my biggest time to order. Plus, a lot of the time my items aren’t even getting here in two days!

    • Mary

I thought the same thing. The benefit of Prime is the 2-day free shipping. Who cares about the crappy music or shows? I know I just listen to podcasts, and when it comes to reading I like paper books so still just prefer the library. As it is Amazon doesn’t alsways fulfill its promise of 2-day shipping half the time orders are delayed, I can’t imagine how this will affect shipping time during the holiday season. They keep doing underhanded stuff to try to get us to pay more…raising the rates, prime pantry, the stupid fashion try before you buy thing. It’s getting so ridiculous I have begun to prefer Walmart when I have a 35+ order. Sometimes as a mom though you get stuck and you’re busy and you need that thing SOON and that is the whole reason I do Prime. Interesting too to see the comment about losing returns. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to email customer service because I was not refunded for a return that I sent back. Silicon Valley is shady-shady. Just the other day I switched all the device default search engines to duck duck go and got off Facebook long ago just to stop BEING as much of a commodity, even though Google will still read this and know how much I distrust them. 🙄 They’ve got us all over a barrel.

    • Barbara

      I agree

    • Christine

I had prime for my textbooks but I decided to let it lapse. I placed and amazon order over the free shipping threshold and it took over a week for it to be packed for shipping. I live chatted cs to ask what was going on and the told me the prime orders come first and they’ll get to mine when they get to it. There’s such a huge difference between prime shipping and not prime. If you’re not prime, don’t even bother contacting cs with a problem, they don’t care. I had prime for years and now I never shop with amazon.

    • Tracy

yes, why join if they give it away for free?

  4. K

Whyyyyy am i paying for prime then?? 🤔

    • Alissa

Prime will still give you 2 day shipping. This just allows someone without Prime to get free 5-8 day shipping without having to spend at least $35. I dropped Prime last July and as long as I’ve ordered $35 in a transaction, I’ve gotten free 5-8 day shipping. This just removes the $35 minimum.

  5. Iris

Thanks, Amazon 🙂 and thank you Hip2Save for letting me know 🙂

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome, Iris!

  6. Andrea

Well I guess raising our rates for Prime allows them to provide free shipping for everyone???

  7. Heather

I pretty much got Prime for the free shipping over the holidays, so I agree with those saying it’s disappointing.

  8. Gailk

Have to agree why pay for prime anymore. Probably will cancel.

    • Jodi P

If you’re not taking advantage of the dozens of other benefits of Prime, then you should cancel.

  9. B

I switched to the monthly $12.99 plan, I think I will temporarily cancel it while shipping is free and for the dead zone months that I don’t order as often.

  10. Greta

Also the children’s place is offering free shipping.

    • celticmommie

TCP offers free shipping every day.

  11. jessicaamyking

With gas prices so high though it’s still worth it to me to have the free shipping

  12. violetta

You know who’s paying for this so you’re welcome everyone 😉 Calling now to cancel my Prime Membership so Amazon sees a direct correlation to this 😡. That’s CRAZY!!

  13. Charmel

If you cancel you are supposed to get your member fees back prorated. When I get to a computer I plan to cancel my prime. Then I rarely place orders the first few months of the year anyway. I’ll just wait until I am considered a new member again and get the free trial. Absolutely no reason to be paying for membership the next two months.

  14. Ashley

I am most likely going to cancel my sub, or at least call and ask about it. I find it odd that they would offer this for everyone, and not compensate their paying prime members in some way.

For those saying, well why pay for it anyways? Prime has awesome benefits worth paying for, and I have NEVER received and offer for a free trial. My kids watch prime video all the time, and I’m constantly putting the free two day shipping to use since shipping can be up to a week or more. Having the holidays come up will only make that worse. I feel like if enough people call and SUGGEST, not complain, they might be willing to do something about it. Hopefully.

  15. Jen

This news didn’t sit well with me either as a long-standing Prime member. I always was on the fence as to whether it was worth it, but then the holidays would come around and I would be ordering all kinds of packages last minute with the free 2-day shipping and I was always glad I paid for the Prime. But, NOW, others are getting that benefit for FREE!! That shows no appreciation for their Prime members.
I immediately got on a chat with Amazon after hearing this news, asking that they forward my opinion onto management. The cs rep credited my account with $10 and is forwarding the chat to her superiors. I encourage other Prime members to do the same to get our point across to them!

    • Violetta

So happy you got a $10 credit!! I did the same but received a $5 credit instead. So for those who contact Amazon, be sure you receive at least $10 credit bc they will only issue the credit ONCE. Also, Amazon suggested I request an extension on my Prime Membership at renewal time to accommodate their free shipping to all promo.

      • Maggie

Only able to get $5 here too. Said that’s the most they could do. And no Prime extension was possible at this time. Had to escalate to a supervisor in the chat window to get anyone who could do this.

      • Jodi P

Wait………you’re getting $5 that all other Prime members are not getting???

SO, you’re now expecting other Prime members to pay for that $5.

You’re causing the price increases that you’re also blaming on the free shipping.

        LOL

        • AV

Someone just enjoys trollin’. I don’t see why it’s a hard concept for you to understand that people are upset that a service they paid for is being given away for free.

          • Nancy

Except it’s NOT the same service.

          • Mika

That’s because as a prime member, you don’t pay for 5-8 day shipping, you pay for 2 day shipping along with a ton of other benefits. Why is that a had concept for you to understand?

            • Mika

              hard**

        • Beckie

There is obviously a disconnect for someone who confuses the concept of compensation (to which everyone eligible can take advantage of) and FREE stuff arbitrarily when others are charged a monthly fee. I really do not see your challenge for understanding. By the way, I have target debit card, (not credit) do not pay fee, and still get free shipping, so you can’t compare target to Amazon on this. Also, prime’s other benefits are exponentially coming laughable. We were just noticing how prime videos now start with a commercial! Really? So I am paying a premium and then I have to sit through adds? The real question is, you don’t even have prime, why are you so passionately for it??

    • Kalynn

I just did the same thing and was also offered $10. I think this is ridiculous. The person I chatted with didn’t even understand what the issue was. They asked for an order number, and assured me that this problem wouldn’t happen again?

      • lexie

I was told they don’t do prime extensions anymore. I order from prime constantly and it’s at least once a month when my order does not come on time. I’ve been told the 2 day only counts once they ship it out, so it can basically be whenever they decide and you can’t do anything about it. I will definitely not be renewing my subscription.

    • Jodi P

Oh, wait………so you’re getting a $10 amazon credit, because you think your prime membership is subsidizing this free shipping promo?

Well NOW Prime memberships are subsidizing YOUR $10 credit, LOL

So we can blame price increases on you, too, LOL

      • Vk

Jodi, maybe you should read back to some of your posts…LOL ing on people’s “faces” looks so juvenile that I don t think is worth it for a topic or disagreement on a virtual platform…some decency?

  16. Lexy

    Awesome 😎

  17. FSUGAL

I just placed an order and neglected to update my credit card pin since my card was recently reissued due to fraudulent activity, so it put my order “on hold” and said my free shipping offer would not be honored unless I provided an updated credit card so that after 30 days they could bill me for a Prime Rewards membership, so this shipping offer is “free” (for 30 days) but with the stipulation that you will be signed up for Prime membership after 30 days if not canceled. I went back in and just paid for my order with credit card reward points and paid the small shipping fee. What do they say?….nothing is really for “free.” “Most” offers come with a catch or if it is a free sample, they are collecting your email data to sell to other companies for marketing purposes.

  18. diana

Prime members in the United States do get a holiday perk, however. Amazon is making more than three million items eligible for same-day delivery for the holidays.

    • kayti

Only if you live in select markets

      • Missy

Exactly. I do not live in a market that gets same day deliveries. So, they can’t even make it up to me!! Grrr.

  19. meg

This is only for standard shipping not 2 day shipping u get with prime. Also..you get alot more then free shipping with prime. Smh. Holiday spirit alive and well.

    • Ashley

That’s not the point. It’s a horrible business practice to give something for free to the entire population that others have been paying for for months.

      • meg

Then cancel it. Smh. Like I said there is much more to prime then free shipping. This is for a limited time anyway. Have a good day

      • Michelle

Non Prime members are not getting the same service for free. Prime members are getting 2 day shipping for free and non-prime are getting standard 5-8 day shipping.

      • Jodi P

Cancel your cable, internet, phone, checking accounts, and credit cards, because I GUARANTEE that new customers are getting discounts, bonuses, and credits that YOU as a long-time customer are NOT getting.

You will be canceling and closing all those accounts, right?

      • Jodi P

Last month I got a whole free month of HBO, and I don’t even have cable tv. Consumer Reports opens it’s website to everyone for free two weeks every year. I’ve ordered magazines for free to $5 that other people have paid full price for.

And isn’t that why we visit THIS website, to catch great deals and free stuff?

    • krystal

I’m with you, I guess we benefit from the other offerings prime membership gives us too. I appreciate 2 day shipping and music and streaming… I guess I look at it as $10/month for streaming and music (cheaper then netflix) and a bonus I get free 2 day shipping. I am not surprised Amazon is trying to compete with target and walmarts free shipping offers for everyone. I wont be canceling my membership to prime.

  20. KR

Non-Prime members get free shipping, not free 2-day shipping. I get Prime because it is convenient, reliable and because I trust Amazon customer service. If you don’t feel that way about Prime benefits, canceling may not be a bad idea.

  21. eric wade

I quit Amazon Prime when they raised their prices. Never looked back. Since then I only ordered from Amazon when the free shipping total applied. I will be taking them up on this new free shipping offer.

    • Lauren

Same here. It’s actually been better for me because I think more carefully about what I buy. Prime made it too easy to just buy on impulse.

      • Alissa

Yes, me too! We dropped Prime in July and I have only ordered a handful of things since then, and only when it adds up to the $35. Probably has saved me from buying so many little things we really didn’t need! I do miss Amazon Music and the streaming shows a little bit, but I never used them on a daily basis anyway.

  22. Emily

So I chatted with Amazon about this being a prime member myself. They said that the offer is just free shipping and not free two day shipping. Then I was told “This is a promotion to get other people who are not prime members to like the service and then sign up. There is no perk for prime members already signed up.”

  23. David

I have been a happy Prime member for years. I thinks it’s great Amazon can extend free shipping to everyone for the Christmas season. I am not mad, offended or jealous.

    • Melissa

I was really irritated when I found out about this promotion as I am a long time paying prime member but then I read this comment and several others about the excellent customer service throughout the year and thought about how happy I have been in the past with Amazon and it changed my view point. Although I still feel like they should have offered to extend memberships by a month as a thank you to loyal customers I realize I have been a longtime prime member because of all of the advantages it has all year long. Anytime I have ever had an issue with Amazon they have made it right. Thanks for giving me a different perspective on the situation.

    • Jodi P

      Ah…..the voice of reason!

  24. Laura

Free standard shipping is a benefit being offered by many stores this time of year. I enjoy the benefit as a prime member of 2 day shipping year round and we also have the streaming video service which allowed me to cancel Netflix and cable. I understand we are paying members but I do not feel this is something to be so upset over. Please try to see the other side of this matter!!

  25. Brittany

So many joyful people writing comments. I hope the only problem you encounter today is being angry about a free shipping promotion. Good lord people…

    • Emily

Go ahead and send me a check for $22 then – cause that’s how much my Prime is for two months…

      • Brittany

        😂😂😂

Some of y’all need medication. It’s not that serious. Happy Holidays.

      • Alissa922

This isn’t giving people free Amazon Prime for 2 months- it’s simply free 5-8 day shipping without having to spend a minimum of $35 in your transaction like it usually is. These people are not eligible for free 2-day shipping or any of the other benefits you pay for with Prime.

  26. Heather Geldbach

I wonder if Target is planning to give “ALL” the Prime members a 2-month credit for their annual purchase, since they’re giving non Prime members 2-months for free?!

  27. Heather

For everyone complaining, I seem to remember them doing something like this years ago during the Christmas shopping season, and I wasn’t a prime member then-it was super appreciated, and it was what got me to subscribe to the service.

  28. Mel

You all are comparing apples and oranges… Prime membership includes so much more than free 2 DAY shipping. With this offer, it’s not two day shipping, it’s the standard shipping they currently offer when you spend a certain amount. All they have done is dropped the required dollar amount. Many companies go to this practice during the holiday season so you will shop with them.

    • L

This! They’re not giving away any Prime benefits for free. They’re just dropping the free shipping minimum like Target and Best Buy already have, and it will be slow shipping, not 2-day! I can’t believe so many people are so upset by this. First world problems…

  29. Satoko

I’m not a prime member, and their processing/handling time has gotten very slow over the years. I assume this promotion will slow it down even more…

    • Jodi P

That’s because you are not a Prime member.

  30. lkpreed

Good lord everyone. If you don’t like what they are doing, just cancel your service and move on with your life. Happy Holidays everyone.

    • Brittany

Exactly. I’m actually laughing at the amount of people that are complaining about this.

      • Jodi P

OMG this is hilarious and sad, at the same time, LOL

I just hope they all cancel Prime so they’re not crying about this again NEXT YEAR, when Amazon offers free shipping, again.

  31. Blessed

It’s seems like free shipping but not the 2 day you get from prime. So there is still an added benefit I can see why they are offering this to combat competition. I personally love the Target app for 2 day shipping and I use my debit red card. I have a college student and I send her something every week from Target so easy with the app 😂

  32. rebecca

i remember the last two Christmases, i had SEVERAL items that DID NOT ship with 2-day shipping on Amazon, even though i had been a Prime member for years. did anyone else have that problem? i just would order items with Prime, then at checkout be told only 3-day shipping was available unless i wanted to pay extra for 1-day shipping?
i am talking about items shipped and fulfilled by Amazon.

    • Mary

Yes this happened to me. They should call it “2-day shipping sometimes.”

  33. Elsie

I called to let them know my dissatisfaction. The person who answered is also a prime member and was upset as well. She gave me at $25 promotional credit.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh wow! That’s awesome, Elsie! Thanks for sharing with us!

    • Kelly

No way. The amazon agent is working for amazon, his/her employer! He or she should be working on behalf of the employer regardless of personal belief. That is like someone refuses to provide customer service (their job) due to personal religious belief!

  34. Amy

I got $17.90 back, the cost of the last two months of my subscription, and canceled my subscription. I’ll re-subscribe at a later point.

  35. L

We had prime student up till this summer when we decided to cancel it! I usually spend $25 or more if I wait and bundle my purchases to qualify for free (standard) shipping anyway! You can cancel at any time and get the prorated refund. I couldn’t justify the cost of the prime membership just for fast shipping, exclusives and streaming that I didn’t use anyway. Plus, Target redcard gets me free shipping, and I find it easier to return to a store if need be.

I just sent a chat message. for this. they said they will not prorate any of the prime members. and if you ask for a supervisor they will tell you the same thing. not good customer service. other places do give a prorate if they run a promotion.

    • Carrie

Same response for me after about an hour of online chat. Very disappointed. I just wish they would give us an extra couple months of membership.

I chatted with customer service. First she denied they were giving free shipping. Then said only on select orders. They finally admitted orders above $25. I expressed my displeasure and she didn’t care. She left me hanging in the chat after I said I wanted to cancel my Prime. I am shocked at how amazon is handling this.

    • Ivan

Just got an email saying they canceled my Prime and refunded me $106.92. Odd since I only paid $99 and my membership is almost up.

      • MommySpendsLess

        Sales tax?

    • Carrie

Very disappointing to hear this. We’ve always been pleased with Amazon’s Customer Service.

      • Kim

But he got back more than he paid. That’s pretty good customer service.

        • MommySpendsLess

          8% sales tax?

          • ivan

Yes that was it. Just ordered something for $15 and got free shipping. Amazon is shooting themselves in the foot with this promo.

    • Dealzgurl

I used to be able to say that the Amazon customer service team was really good…I actually got someone who was smart-mouthed last week. It would have been funny, actually, except that it pissed me off. I just politely disconnected from the chat and got another person. They were late delivering a package and refused to give me an extension on Prime. I got a $5 courtesy credit instead.

Ok people calm down. Free shipping applies to ONLY Amazon sold products, which as we all know are not always the least expensive and people end up buying from other sellers. Also, does not apply to add on items. Just reach out to Amazon and have them give you credit for Nov & Dec. Isn’t this supposed to be the time for good will. Some people out there can’t afford Prime & the free shipping might mean they can buy a little more for family. I just reached out to Amazon & they game me 3 month credit & I had no issues with said. Merry Christmas All. Geeze.

    • Ivan

I only buy Amazon shipped products (assume that’s what you meant) since they will always accept returns, whereas return policy for items shipped by others varies. Usually those items have the lower prices too.

Off topic!:😊 SHUTTERFLY FREE 11OZ. MUG! EXPIRES TONIGHT! 11/05 JG23-FB3J-MS7Z-Z3PW6V

I was taken aback when I first read Collin’s post but then I saw that the shipping was 8-9 days or whatever it is. That seems like forever to me, lol. I’m not upset about the free shipping for the holidays cuz I hate paying shipping. And, if someone can benefit during a time when money can be really tight and every cent makes a difference, I’m all for that. I do see why people are mad though….I pay for Prime too but I just feel like most companies aren’t loyal to their customers anyway so I can’t get too bent out of shape at this point. And, Amazon is steadily declining. I heard today that more than half of all U.S. households have Amazon Prime. They wouldn’t miss my cancellation.

Anyone else having problems with the app? It says 102 comments. But when i click on the actual post, it says only 16 comments and those are the only ones I can see.

    • Kimberly

      Yep, same here

    • Jessi

I think there were a bunch of ugly comments that got deleted.

    • Ms

Same here. But if you go to the website, it shows all the comments. Not sure exactly what is going on with the app.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh darn! Thanks for mentioning that, Jessica! We are looking into that now!

i miss there American chat help support its all outsourced now for most part think for electronic devices they still have u.s. it takes multiple times to get something resolved now if it does lol at if it does it’s gotten really bad and is slower can’t get the email option anymore either. more times than not it takes multiple attempts to resolve something really simple it didn’t use to

  43. fran

I chatted with Amazon and they won’t give me anything. No credit no extensions

    • ivan

Try again…you will get another rep and they will probably offer something. First rep I chatted with yesterday was rude and disconnected our chat. I tried again and got a really nice rep who helped me.

  44. Bethany

I’m not sure why everyone is so upset? I know I only pay $5.99 a month for my prime, but even if I paid the full rate I’d still say it’s worth it for the music and movies. (Prime is better than Netflix any day of the week IMHO.)

  45. Bryant

I honestly have no clue why someone would purchase Amazon Prime for an ENTIRE year just to get free shipping during the holiday season. Especially since Amazon has been offering free 2-day shopping over the holidays to compete with Walmart, Target, Kohl’s etc ALL offering free 2-day shipping for awhile now. Every year I read posts of people complaining that they’re going to cancel that I’m starting to believe it’s just something people say to make themselves feel better. See you guys next year

  46. Sue

Mr. Bezos pushed Prime a few years ago to make Mr. Bezos even richer.

  47. Takia

On a more positive note. CVS also appears to have free shipping for the holidays. Lately I’ve been ordering so many things on CVS.com using promotions and paying .xx and taxes. I just send all the deals to my card, it’s better than the store IMO.

Does anyone know how long Amazon will be doing this?
