I have one and love it, unlike what’s pictured, the bag can stay right in the can with the black piece that holds it and it looks even nicer.
I have one I bought almost two years ago. I love it and have had no issues what so ever. Changed batteries once. Bought one for my son as well. I highly recommend it. It actually holds a lot and when compared to similar trash cans this is a deal you can’t pass up.
My daughter got one at Costco for about the same price. She loves it. I was visiting for the week (she lives out of state) and when I got back home I went to throw something away and waved my hand in front of my garbage can for it to open. Lol! Her garage can is black and mine is white. But I ordered one for a wedding gift for my niece last time you had it posted She got married Sept 1st. I was cutting it close for when it was to be delivered but it came early. My daughter told me you can get an AC adapter for it if you don’t want to put D batteries in it. But my niece loves hers. This time I’m getting one for me. Great price as there usually $60 elsewhere.
I seriously cannot recommend this enough! My kids have gotten much better about throwing away trash since we purchased one. We’ve had ours over a month – it gets a ton of use – and have not needed to change the batteries yet. It is great for keeping the dog out of the trash. It stops us all from filling the trash bag up too much. Plus you can throw away things like eggshells easily without having to touch the top of the lid to open it!

I’ve had this trash can for almost 6 months and we really like it, my only complaint is that ours does not have the option to use an AC adapter like some have commented in the reviews that it does. Not sure why some would have the option and some would not, but I wasn’t lucky to get one..

My husband HATES that trash can! You have to replace the batteries constantly, the hole to put stuff in the can is so small, and it is junk and has tons of dings. It looks like we used it for target practice. I really need to get a new trash can, but I am very nervous after the last purchase. Thoughts about this?
I love the idea of this but I feel like with three small kids at home this thing would be opening and closing all day as they got near it and would then eat up batteries. Anyone use one with small kids?
I have 3 small kids and this garbage can did not hold up. It would randomly start opening and closing by itself in the middle of the night, then it stopped closing on its own, you would have to push the button to close it. Finally it stopped working altogether. I think it lasted less than a year, and started being problematic after only a couple of months.

I bought this with the last sale & we love it! Just make sure you don’t have it anywhere you walk by often-like we did & it ran the batteries down quick.
We bought this one a couple of months ago and it’s been great. The dog, however, hates it because it’s by her dog door and her tail sets it off!!
We have this(thanks Hip2Save!) and I love it. But if you have a large dog that gets in the trash, it may not be for you -unless you shut the garbage up in a closet or room, as the dog’s motion will open the lid.
I can’t warn you away from this can (and the company) quickly enough. I bought this can and within a month, it was no longer working. Someone here suggested I reach out to the company. I did, and they offered me a new top. That was more than a month ago. I never received anything and they won’t respond to my emails. So much for that.
