Oh my here we again with another food recall. I hope that they soon figure this mess out and reevaluate the food handling process . I’m not a big JENNIE-O fan at all but I do buy ground turkey in another brand. Thanks for this info. I had do double check my brand of ground turkey just ease my mind.
You’re welcome! I have bought this one occasionally! Glad you could double check yours!
Oh man we just finished eating a pack.
Would whole turkeys be affected? How could ground turkey be affected and other types by the same brand not be affected?
I was worried about the same thing. We buy Jennie-O turkey dogs all the time instead of regular hot dogs. We had some last night.
Is it bad that i’m still buying this? We literally eat 2-3 packages of jennie-o ground turkey breast each week- spaghetti, tacos, etc. I have no doubt we ate are off the recall list, as kroger already called me. I most definitely cook everything very well, and probably practice safe handling a little overboard-am I missing something? You can cook away salmonella, right?
Yes you can still eat it as long as it’s cooked thoroughly. Sad all that turkey will be wasted 🙁
Yes. So much wasted food.
🙁 I have some in my freezer and I threw the receipts away already. How can I get my money back?
