A note from Collin:
I own several jewelry items from Starfish Project and I’ve always been impressed with the quality of their jewelry. Plus, I think it’s awesome that they support a great cause! For each piece of jewelry that you purchase, approximately 50% of the proceeds go to help support the women who made the jewelry.
site keeps giving 504 error message saying timed out…. 🙁 I will just have to keep trying, I guess.
The Cody necklace is out of stock. Their site must be getting a lot of traffic because it keeps crashing.
Darn! I’m seeing that too. Thanks for the heads up!
It took a ton of patience but I was able to order two necklaces and a pair of earrings!
Whew! I’m glad you were finally able to get through!
One example of this is the “Amy; Engraved Miao Silver Cuff” being sold for $24.99. Search for “MYTHIC AGE European Concave” on AliExpress…current price is $1.67.
Where did the post go that was bringing to light that some of this jewelry was being misrepresented as being built by women in need?
Is this true?
A few hours ago someone had posted about seeing the same jewelry being sold on other sites for a 10th of what Starfish was selling it for. They even included some links. I went back to look into it and when I came back the post was gone. When I followed the links the jewelry that was on both starfish and on some of these other sites were the same pieces. So I don’t know if the women that starfish are employing are assembling pre-made jewelry or quite what the whole story is. I’m not disputing if the company is helping women and there aren’t women working there but I do find that their jewelry is being misrepresented.
I ordered the last time you posted a 75% off sale and I LOVE what I got!! Thank you for another opportunity to get more!!
You’re welcome, Brandy!
