We’re so excited to announce our first winner in our Giving Back series–and on Giving Back Tuesday! ❤️ To refresh your memory, we recently posted about wanting to help our readers give back to their favorite charities by providing a $100 gift card for them to use in their donation efforts. Well, it was no surprise that the Hip2Save community came through in full force.
We started sifting through hundreds of submissions advocating for a wide range of charities and organizations. We love seeing your devotion to helping out all of these wonderful causes, and we’re happy to announce our first winner! 🎉

We’ve reached out to her via email to get started on the process of sending a gift card to help amplify her donation experience. But to all of our other readers with entries still pending, hang tight! We’ll be picking one winner a week up until the New Year, so there’s still plenty of time to enter for your chance to help make the season merry and bright for your charity of choice.

- Submit your recommendation via the form on this landing page (no emails, please).
- Tell us all about how you’d like to give back to your charity of choice and why this is important to you.
- If selected, we’ll follow up to find out more details about how you plan to give back.
- Once the final selections are made, we’ll then send the e-gift card of choice via email.
- After completing your mission, please send us a few photos so we can share with and inspire others!

When donating canned goods please be aware that many people have to have low sodium or no added sodium canned goods

Does anyone know how I can send care packages to soldiers? I want to do it but don’t know how to go about it.
The blue star mothers group does that. I know you can find a local one to donate your stuff to. I’m not sure how individually sending packages works.

My husband works for the electric company and every year they “adopt” a little boy and a little girl to give Christmas to. All the lineman go in together and shower these kids with their needs and wants both! I had a blast shopping for a little 3 year old girl this year!
