get free starbucks coffee every day – starbucks exclusive tumbler

Nope, you aren’t dreaming…

This is a real thing! Right now at Starbucks, you can score FREE coffee every day in January when you purchase and use their exclusive travel tumbler. While the reusable 16oz. tumbler is gorgeous, it rings in at $40, a bit more than your standard travel coffee mug. That said, this cup grants you access to FREE coffee or tea each day in January — that’s 31 days of free caffeine!

In my area, the cost of a grande blonde roast (my go-to order) with tax is $2.66, so if I were to get one every day in January, my coffee expense would be $82.46. That said, with the tumbler purchase of $40, I would actually be saving $42.46 on those daily coffees, making my per coffee cost only $1.29. If I didn’t want to go every day, I would only need to get about 15 coffees to make the tumbler purchase worth it. Oh, and let’s not forget that I’ll have the cool travel cup to add to my mug collection!

But the savings don’t stop there. If you’re a Starbucks rewards member, you get your first refill in the cafe for FREE, so long as you don’t leave the store before coming back to the counter for your refill. So, if you’re able to spend your morning in a Starbucks cafe, you could potentially get TWO FREE coffees a day with this tumbler! That’s double the savings, with the net cost of each coffee ringing in at only $0.64 — talk about a jolt of free caffeine!

Let me just say that I totally understand it’s not plausible for everyone to go to Starbucks EVERY day in January, but if you head in for your morning coffee on the regular (or at least every other day), this tumbler is worth it.

Haven’t been in a Starbucks for 2 years but I certainly see a line of cars every workday at the drive up window so I think several will take advantage of the deal.

    any coffee or just black?

another article I read said this
..free grande hot coffee or tea every day in January. The only catch is no specialty coffees or teas are available as part of the deal, so you’ll have to keep your order simple.

You have inspired me. Not to drink coffee but to save. If I saved just the cost of one cup of coffee a day after one year I would have $989.52. After ten years $9, 895.20 and after 20 years $19,790.40. I’ve got my savings plan for my granddaughter on my very limited budget. Thank you.

Do all Starbucks have this tumblr?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Kalie! They should! You can always call ahead to your location to be sure!

  6. Mel

Do you need to bring the tumbler every time, or is the offer added to the account every day?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes, you should bring it in with your each day.

  7. holly

I do this every year! The cup this year is really pretty! It is for just regular brew coffee or tea so if you’re a fancy drink person this won’t suit you.

Does iced coffee apply? And do you know if they allow you to add flavored syrup? I always order iced coffee with cinnamon dolce flavor so wondering if that would be included.

      • Holly

You will have to pay for any extras. I don’t know if they do iced coffee in it.

I bought one last year and loved it! Like everyone else has said no lattes, just regular brew or tea. I did spice things up occasionally and add a few pumps of flavored syrup. Sometimes they charged me .53 cents and other times they didn’t charge me at all.

They did this promo a few years back and by the end of December, close to Jan 1st, the ones at the Target Starbucks locations got marked down to $8!! I snagged 2 that year. It was great. I’m going to hold out and hope that happens again.

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow! I hope it does happen again!

      • Amy

I got mine last year for $4!

    • QGirlfriend

  11. Tracy G

I bought one of these today for my daughter’s preschool teacher – a Starbuck addict like me . It was at a Starbucks at my local Target in MN and they had a special where you got 30% off coffee gifts if you purchased a beverage (can’t remember the verbiage but it had to be a fancy one.) So, the tumbler ended up being $28 + tax.

  12. April

Plain coffee? No thanks. I only go to Starbucks for specialty drinks

  13. Dana

Can you buy these anywhere except in Starbucks stores? (online?)

  14. justinepaige

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You are welcome!

  15. Ariel

I’m not really a fan of $40 for a Tumbler.

  16. Shannon

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

How cool! Thanks for the heads up! We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for those in our stores too!
