I’m confused about the sizing. I am a size 8 so is that a 41? And does the N stand for narrow?
A women’s size 8 is a 39. The 41 is a man’s size 8.
The Birkenstock website has a printable sizing chart that you should go buy. You place your foot on the paper and line it up and it will give you the number/size to order.
I am a US 8.5 but my Birkenstock size is 36. True to what the Birkenstock chart said to get. I had to order 3 times to get the size right so good thing the actual Birkenstock website allowed free returns. I’m not sure about this site though.
I wear a 9 but a 38 in these…
I wear an average ladies 9 1/2 and I wear a 40R in Birks. It leaves clearance at the toe and heal which allows for movement.
I sized down to a 39 once and regretted it. My toes were right at the bumpers and there were not as comfortable as the 40. It’s really best to try on the different sizes if possible. People have different preferences in how they want these to fit.

For people new to Birkenstocks….if these are real, they’ll be stiff and uncomfortable out of the box. They need a breaking in period for the cork footbed to form to your foot and soften up. There are a few different methods that people use to do that — google and you’ll find them. There *are* a lot of fakes sold online — so try googling “are my birkenstocks fake” to verify the details of the shoes!
Did anyone actually receive these? I placed my order on Dec 22nd and received shipping notification on the 24th. Then TODAY 3 weeks later was issued a refund with no explanation or anything?
