I’m sure it varies, but yesterday, my Sam’s Club had the red and green m&m’s in the clear plastic screw-top containers on sale (both plain and peanut) for $5.21 each (for 62 oz). That’s a better per-ounce price, if you don’t mind red and green only.
I’ve heard folks will separate the colors and keep red for Valentine’s Day and green for St. Patrick’s Day. My containers have an expiration date of October 2019.
