I didn’t see these today at Dollar Tree but I didn’t look too hard. I did pick up a pair of Sunbeam 9V batteries for my chirping smoke detector in my apartment. It woke me up way too early this morning for a Saturday, chirping away to replace the battery. Happy to get a battery for 50 cents! I can use the other one right away as well, so glad they sell two packs and a good brand name as well.
It will be chirping again in 6 months with those batteries! Buy a good one and save yourself from being woken up again.
I’ve always used dollar store batteries in my smoke detectors and they’ve lasted a really long time. The 9V I replaced yesterday was dated June 2014 and I remember I purchased it at my local 99 Cent Store. It was Panasonic Rayovac super heavy duty type. I do look for the name brands in batteries and check the expiration when purchasing. The new one is dated 2021, also super heavy duty, and it says “ideal for low drain devices”, so hope they last until I move out!
Actually they are great batteries. I use them for my smoke detectors and you are supposed to change then once a year anyway and they last the year plus more. I do try to change them every year but sometimes I forget so I write the date on the battery.
I have a couple of the desk lamps they had a few months ago… and bought one of these lamps to see if they were awesome for $1.
Well I’ll just say these things are amazing and would be worth $5-$10 honestly. They light up an entire bedroom so well and look decently made.
Pick some up for yourself or for donating to the elderly at a nursing home or with home care. They are an excellent value!!!

I bought the LED desk lamp they had last year for $1 and by far my best $1 purchase ever…..until I bought this lamp last week, these lamps are extremely bright and look really nice. Put these in your goodie bags for college students.

I’m in South Carolina and I’ve found them at the dollar tree in Simpsonville. They have TONS of them! They had some in 2018 and I just found them again in the same store last week! However that is the only store I’ve seen them in around here. I got lots of them, gave away as gifts. The lamp is awesome, is worth way more than $1!
