Designed for use in heavy snow, these waterproof boots feature a full-grain leather and suede upper, super-soft faux fur around the cuff and a removable, recycled felt inner boot to ensure that feet stay warm, dry and comfortable in cold winter conditions.
In case anyone is wondering, these boots are awesome and very well-made. I’ve had mine for well over 6 years. The only thing I’ll say is that they’re not kidding when they say they’re made for use in heavy snow. They’re very heavy and warm, which for me means too much boot to run errands in. I’ve worn them to the grocery store and I was sweating, trudging around in them. That said, for shoveling, ice fishing or just hanging outside in the snow with the kids, they’re amazing.
Agreed! They are very much worth the price, as they last a long time! Love them!
Good to know how well these work for the cold weather, Alli! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience with us!
My Columbias are the same way. Great boots but very warm…sometimes too warm even in Wisconsin winter.
If you don’t need these right now, I’ve seen them on Amazon for under $70. The price fluctuates of course, but I got mine for $65. 🙂
These were at Costco for around $125, some of the Costco’s still had some after Christmas.
I bought my Sorels in 1977. We lived in Idaho. They have been through streams, huge snow drifts, and all types of cold weather. I just snow sealed them after winter was over and they were good to go for the next winter. They still look brand new and I use them every year. I have gone through several liners and shoelaces, but they’re easy to replace. I think I paid around $80 for them back then. I thought it was expensive but you only say ouch once. I think $114 is a heck of a deal and they will last a long long time, just remember to Sno seal them every year. And have fun.
What do you do to snow seal them?
Its called SNO SEAL. Just type Sno Seal for leather in the Amazon search engine and it will come up. It is under $10. If I was more knowledgeable with computers I would have copied and pasted the link. LOL.
Thank you, I’ll look it up. Did you apply it yourself? I don’t think I will be to good at it. Maybe I’ll buy it and bring it to the shoemaker 😊
Its pretty easy. The directions are on the product. Just warm the boot or shoe with a hair dryer and apply the Sno Seal with a paper towel or soft cloth. If I get too much on and it doesnt absorb the Sno Seal I use the hair dryer again. I make sure all the seams are covered very well.
Great boots but were way to heavy for me. I bought them at Costco in November but had to return them. Kinda clunky to walk in
I bought mine last year when Hip2Save posted them for $67.50 on Dec. 26th. What a bargain! Agree they are heavy but I feel extremely safe wearing them especially on slippery conditions like ice.
Many reported to buy regular size which I did (size 8) but my big toe rubbed against my boot even with thin wool socks (smartwool). Customer Service was awesome, gave me free return shipping label and I was able to reorder the next size and got free shipping on those all for the same price!
I’m wearing mine right now, and I LOVE them!!!!!!
Yay! SO happy you have been loving yours! Thanks for taking a moment to comment!
