I got food poisoning from applebees and both the store manager and kitchen manager were complete jerks. No care, no remorse, nothing. I will never go back. Applebees only cares about making a buck… they dont care about anything else. Especially not the people that spend their money there.

Just curious but what did you expect the manager and crew to say or do?

      • Homeland Couponer

I would expect them to at least say they were sorry and maybe even return their money. 🙂

        • todd

Do we know if the customer got said food poisoning and come back a day later? If so….you really think they are gonna do anything about it? How do they know if the customer is lying?

          • Bethany

Sometimes they do something nice such as apologize and maybe give the customer a free meal on the house. Depends on the place and the manager…

Its hard to prove where food poisoning was contracted unless multiple people got it from that location. Having worked in the food service, you just cant tell if people are just trying to get a refund or not.

      • Josie

Even if they couldn’t prove food poisoning, as a courtesy they could have atleast comp’d that order off. It’s better to gain a repeat customer than to lose one forever and gain bad reviews in addition to bad word of mouth.

        Thank you….thats my point.

          Thank you Ashley..thats my point.

I would recommend calling ahead. The last time there was an all-you-can-eat promo, my location was only doing it on like a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thanks for the warning! Good idea!

WE had not been in a while so My family went because we had gift cards. Absolutely disgusting. Cold everything. Took them 20 mins in between the times that they brought the food out and we got one chicken tender and on piece of riblett at a time. That is for 5 of us. So we had to discuss who got the last one and whose turn it was and it was already gold anyway. Remember now why we stopped going in the first place. Next time will sell gift cards and not bother.

It’s not a fast food restaurant. Most restaurants does take long to bring the food.

They put so much ice in those drinks 🙁

We went with two young children and from start to finish was over 2 hours and there were only 2 adults and 2 children! Don’t plan on going back anytime soon!

  6. Nikki

We went during their normal non-promo time. Cold food, kid size portion of fries… overworked waitress, sticky table… not a fun experience.

I always go to Applebee’s during non-peek times like a weekday afternoon. The food is way better! But i did go this Sunday afternoon 12ish for some boneless wings and fries. So delicious!
