This honey is gently warmed to retain existing pollen composition, acting as a source of Vitamin C, antioxidants, protein, iron and fiber. It’s great as a sweetener or as a sugar substitute!

This is great honey! I will say this as a warning to those considering ordering this size — unless you go through a lot of honey in your home, you may not want to order this large container. We at a lot in our home and even with that, we had a this size (of this brand) once and after a few weeks it had completely hardened in the bottle and had to be thrown away. I’m not sure why this happened – but thought I’d share my experience in case it helps someone!
Good expensive honey, just like maple syrup, hardens. I think it is lack of preservatives. Heat up some water in a pot, remove from heat and throw your honey or maple in there for a bit. And if you have some honey stuck to the bottom of a container, add hot tea and shake that sucker up. Instant portable tea.
I agree 100% with Daniela. You never throw honey – you “melt” it down in a water bath. The honey tends to crystalize. During the winter months when there are not too many or any sources of pollen, the beekeepers sometimes feed the bees with sugar. Usually honey collected from such sources tend to crystalize faster.
Honey does not expire, so you can use it even if it’s hardened. I suggest warming the bottle and keeping it in a dark place at RT. Keeping it tightly sealed is highly advised.
Thanks for the helpful tip! I didn’t know that!
I have this honey in my pantry and love it! I purchased the large size from Costco several months ago and have not had any problems with hardening — I keep it tightly closed (don’t let any sticky residue build up around the cap) in a dark cupboard. I use a teaspoon a day over plain Greek yogurt and berries, and occasionally with sweet potatoes or in baking. I’d love to hear your favorite uses for it, as I’m looking to grow my cooking skills this year!
YUM! Thanks for sharing! I have never cooked with honey, but I do like it in my tea, on oatmeal OR on a toasted muffin. 🙂
Of you make Chinese use in it.
Also a great immunity booster! I add minced garlic and this honey together, store it in the cabinet and take a teaspoon every morning! I love this brand of honey! Any of the other brands, were always too sweet. I came across this brand last year after Colin posted a Cartwheel deal at Target. Ive been hooked every since! Amazon, hear I come.
How cool! Thanks for taking a moment to comment, Mandy!
Sam’s Club currently has Instant Savings on this honey. 44 oz for $10.78 and ships free, which is identical per ounce price. My large family goes though the 44oz container of honey in about several weeks & it never went bad. So I typically buy several containers at a time.
Oh cool! Thanks for sharing, MP!
Tsp of honey is good for dog allergies also from what I have read on forums.
Thanks! I placed my order! My family really loves this brand! I use honey daily in my plain greek yogurt, chia seed pudding (2 tbsp chia seeds and 1/2 cup almond milk. soak overnight), and in hot tea.
I wash my face with raw honey in the mornings. I have very dry skin in winter and it’s soothing.
I agree with others, never toss it out!
